Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think-Pair-Share dan karakter siswa yang meliputi sikap jujur, tanggung jawab, dan kerjasama pada pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-MIA 3 SMA Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Surabaya berjumlah 32 siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan rancangan penelitian “One Shot Case Study”. Metode pengumpulan data berupa metode observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) Keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS selama tiga kali pertemuan berturut-turut 3,32; 3,31; dan 3,53 termasuk dalam kategori baik dan sangat baik; (2) Pelatihan karakter siswa selama tiga kali pertemuan, untuk karakter jujur sebesar 2,88; 3,09; 3,30, karakter tanggung jawab sebesar 2,93; 3,22; 3,23, dan karakter kerjasama sebesar 2,84; 3,17; 3,33 termasuk dalam kategori mulai berkembang dan membudaya.

Kata kunci: model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS, karakter jujur, tanggung jawab, kerjasama, larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit.

The aims of this study were to determine the implementation of cooperative learning model type ofThink-Pair-Share, student’s characters included honesty, responsibility, and cooperate to cooperative learning model Think-Pair-Share about electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution material. The participants of this research were comprised of thirty two (32) students selected from 10th grade science program classed three in SMA Kemala bayangkari 1 surabaya. Type of this research was a qualitative descriptive study with one shot case study design. Method used to collect data were observation method. The results showed that (1) For three times meeting, the implementation of cooperative learning model type of Think-Pair-Share, respectively 3,32; 3,31; and 3,53 it was included into good and very good category (2) Trained honest character respectively 2,88; 3,09; 3,30, responsible character respectively 2,93; 3,22; 3,23, and cooperate character respectively 2,84; 3,17; 3,33it was included into started growing and entrenched.
