MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS SISWA MELALUI PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI TERBIMBING PADA MATERI REAKSI REDUKSI-OKSIDASI DI KELAS X SMA NEGERI 12 SURABAYA (INCREASING THE STUDENT SCIENCE PROSESS SKILLS WITH GUIDED INQUIRY LEARNING MODEL AT REDUCTION-OXIDATION REACTION FOR X GRADE OF 12 SURABAYA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan proses sains setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi reaksi reduksi-oksidasi. Keberhasilan pembelajaran dinilai dari keterlaksanaan sintaks model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing, peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa, ketuntasan hasil belajar, dan respon siswa. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah “one group pretest-posttest design”. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA 6 SMA Negeri 12 Surabaya. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi lembar observasi keterlaksanaan sintaks model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing, lembar soal pretest dan posttest keterampilan proses sains, lembar pretest dan posttest hasil belajar, serta angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) rata-rata keterlaksanaan sintaks model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada pertemuan I sebesar 89,0% (sangat baik); pertemuan II sebesar 91,7% (sangat baik); dan pertemuan III sebesar 92,9%(sangat baik). (2) Nilai pretest dan posttest keterampilan proses sains berturut-turut 1,84 dan 3,15 serta N-gain kelas X IPA 6 termasuk kategori sedang dengan nilai 0,586. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah statistik nonparametrik melalui Uji Wilcoxon menggunakan SPSS 16.0. Berdasarkan kriteria pengujian hipotesis 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap nilai keterampilan proses sains setelah penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing. (3) Nilai posttest hasil belajar siswa rata-rata sebesar 3,28 dan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 94,1%. (4) Respon siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses siswa baik karena mendapatkan nilai  ≥ 61%.

The purpose of this research is to know the increasing science process skill after the implementation guided inquiry learning model on reduction-oxidation reaction matter. The succesfull of implementation is evaluated from feasibility of guided inquiry based on learning model, increasing science process skill, thoroughness of student’s achievement, and responses. The research design that “one group pretest-posttetst design”. The sample of this research that students class X IPA 6 of grade Senior High School 12 Surabaya. The instrumentused were observation sheets of feasibility syntax of guided inquiry learning model, pretest and posttest exam sheets of science process skill, pretest and posttest exam sheets of study result, and questionnaire of student’s responses. The result showed that (1) The average of feasibility syntax guided inquiry learning model in first meeting is 89,0% (excellent); second meeting is 91,7% (excellent); and third meeting is 92,9% (excellent). (2) Value of pretest and posttest science process skill successived were 1,84 and 3,15 then N-Gain this class included medium category with value 0,586. Analiysis technical is used nonparametic statistic through Wilcoxon test using SPSS 16,0. Based on the hypothesis significance test criteria 0,000<0,05 so that there are significant different with the student science process skills after implementation guided inquiry learning model. (3) Student’s posttest result of study is 3,28 and classical thoroughness is 94,1%. (4) Student’s respon to implementation guided inquiry learning model for increasing student science process skill is good because obtained value ≥ 61%.
