PENDEKATAN HANDS ON ACTIVITY MELALUI MODIFIED INQUIRY UNTUK MENINGKATKAN SELF EFFICACY SISWA KELAS XISMAN 1 TUBAN PADA MATERI POKOK LAJU REAKSI(HANDS ON ACTIVITY APPROACH THROUGH MODIFIED INQUIRYTO IMPROVE SELF EFFICACY IN XI GRADE OF SMAN 1 TUBANSUBJECT MATTER OF THE RATE OF REACTION)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatan self efficacy dengan penerapan pendekatan hands on activity melalui modified inquiry. Sasaran dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 1 di SMA Negeri 1 Tuban. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan “One group pre-test post-test desain. Self efficacy siswa dinilai dengan angket self efficacy. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan meliputi: 1) lembar angket self efficacy; 2) tingkat keyakinan menjawab soal; dan 3) lembar pengamatan perilaku self efficacy. Keberhasilan penelitian ini diketahui dari nilai self efficacy. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) Rata-rata hasil pre-test self efficacy secara klasikal yaitu 63.92 meningkat menjadi 83.41 pada saat post-test. Besar peningkatan self efficacy dapat diketahui melalui nilai gain sebesar 0.494 pada kriteria sedang; 2)Tingkat keyakinan menjawab soal meningkat dari 39.25 menjadi 87.29. Besar peningkatan self efficacy dapat diketahui melalui nilai gain sebesar 0.78 pada kriteria tinggi dan 3) Nilai pengamatan perilaku self efficacy siswa meningkat dari 77.50 pada pertemuan pertama, 92.47 pada pertemuan kedua, dan 94.15 pada pertemuan ketiga.

This research is to improve self-efficacy with implementation of hands on activity approach through a modified inquiry. The target in this research were students of class XI IPA-1 SMAN 1 Tuban. This research used a design of "One group pre-test post-test design”. Student's self-efficacy was assessed by self-efficacy questioner. Research instrument consist of: 1) Questionnaire sheet of self-efficacy, 2) level of confidence to answer questions; and 3) sheet of self-efficacy behavior. The success of this research known of result of self-efficacy. The results of this research: 1) Average pre-test results in the classical self-efficacy is 63.92 increased to 83.41 at post-test. Increasing of self-efficacy can be known through n-gain of 0494 in medium criteria; 2) increasing score confidence in answering question from 39.25 to 87.29. Increasing of self-efficacy can be known through n-gain of 0.78 in high criteria and 3) result of self-efficacy observation of the behavior of students increased from 77.50 at the first meeting, the second meeting is 92.47, and 94.15 at the third meeting.
