PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISKUSI KELAS STRATEGI BEACH BALL PADA MATERI IKATAN KIMIA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN RASA PERCAYA DIRI SISWA (IMPLEMENTATION OF CLASSROOM DISCUSSION LEARNING MODEL WITH BEACH BALL STRATEGY ON SUBJECT MATTER OF CHEMICAL BONDING TO IMPROVE SELF-CONFIDENCE OF STUDENTS)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Diskusi Kelas stategi Beach Ball pada materi Ikatan Kimia terhadap hasil belajar dan rasa percaya diri siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan desain penelitian One-Group Pretest-Postest Design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi pengelolaan pembelajaran, lembar soal tes, dan angket rasa percaya diri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Pengelolaan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran Diskusi Kelas strategi Beach Ball pada pertemuan pertama sebesar 2,76 (baik); pertemuan kedua sebesar 2,91 (baik); dan pertemuan ketiga sebesar 3,07% (sangat baik). (2) Penerapan model pembelajaran Diskusi Kelas strategi Beach Ball pada materi Ikatan Kimia dapat membantu siswa untuk mencapai pemahaman konseptual. Ini dibuktikan dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 86,96%. (3) Penerapan model pembelajaran Diskusi Kelas strategi Beach Ball pada materi Ikatan Kimia dapat meningkatkan rasa percaya diri siswa. Terlihat dari persentase rata-rata rasa percaya diri pada saat pretest, posttest 1, posttest 2, posttest 3 berturut-turut adalah 65,16%; 67,55%; 68.80; dan 71,09. Dengan kenaikan rata-rata dari saat pretest hingga postest 3 sebesar 5,93%.

This study aimed to describe the effect of the implementation of Classroom Discussion learning model with Beach Ball strategy on subject matter of chemical bonding on learning outcomes and self-confidence of students. The research was conducted by the research design One-Group Pretest-posttest design. The research instrument used is a learning management observation sheet, test booklet, and self-confidence questionnaire. The results showed that: (1) learning management with Classroom Discussion learning model with Beach Ball strategy at the first meeting by 2.76 (good); the second meeting by 2.91 (good) , and the third meeting of 3.07 % (excellent). (2) the implementation of Classroom Discussion learning model with Beach Ball strategy on subject matter of chemical bonding can help students to achieve conceptual understanding. This is evidenced by classical completeness of 86.96 %. (3) the implementation of Classroom Discussion learning model with Beach Ball strategy on subject matter of chemical bonding can increase the self-confidence of students. Seen from the average percentage of self-confidence at the time of the pretest, posttest 1, posttest 2, posttest 3 respectively was 65.16 %, 67.55 %, 68.80 , and 71.09 . With an average increase from pretest to posttest 3 was 5.93 % .
