PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE THINK-PAIR-SHARE (TPS) UNTUK MENGEMBANGKAN KARAKTER SISWA PADA MATERI LARUTAN ELEKTROLIT DAN NONELEKTROLIT DI SMA 17 AGUSTUS 1945 (IMPLEMENTATION OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL THINK-PAIR-SHARE (TPS ) TO DEVELOP STUDENTS CHARACTER APPROXIMATION IN ELECTROLYTE AND NONELECTROLYTE SOLUTION MATTER  ON 17 AUGUST 1945 HIGH SCHOOL)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakter siswa yang meliputi karakter jujur, disiplin dan bertanggung jawab dengan penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think-pair-share pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X IPA-1 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya pada semester 1 tahun ajaran 2013-2014 yang berjumlah 33 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan selama penelitian adalah lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar pengamatan karakter, lembar post test, dan angket respon siswa.  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think-pair-share pertemuan pertama, kedua dan ketiga termasuk dalam kategori baik yaitu berturut-turut persentase yang diperoleh adalah 71,13%, 74,6%, dan 72,83%. Hasil pemahaman siswa terhadap pencapaian karakter jujur, disipilin dan tanggung jawab memperolah kategori baik berturut-turut sebesar 71,88%, 78,98%, 73,83%. Hasil respon siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think-pair-share  mendapatkan kategori sangat baik yaitu persentase yang dihasilkan sebesar 97,64%, respon  yang sangat baik ini juga dibuktikan dengan hasil belajar siswa yang mendapatkan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 81,81%.

 This study aims to determine the character of the student which includes character honest, disciplined and responsible with the implementation of cooperative learning  think-pair-share approximation in electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution matter. The subjects were 33 students of X grade of Science-1 SMA 17 August 1945 Surabaya in the 1st semester in academic year 2013-2014. The instrument used for the research is the feasibility study sheets, character observation sheet, sheet post-test, and student questionnaire responses. The results of this research to cooperative learning model think-pair-share 1st, 2nd and 3th are included in both categories in a row percentages obtained were 71.13%, 74.6%, and 72.83%. The results of students' understanding of the achievement of honest character, discipline and responsibility respectively for 71.88%, 78.98%, 73.83%. The results of students' response to the application of cooperative learning model think-pair-share is excellent category that generated the percentage of 97.64%, a very good response is also evidenced by the learning outcomes of students who received classical completeness by 81.81%.
