KOMPARASI HASIL BELAJAR ANTARA SISWA YANG DIBERI METODE THINK PAIR SHARE (TPS) DAN METODE JIGSAW PADA MATA PELAJARAN ILMU BAHAN KELAS X TGB SMK NEGERI 3 JOMBANG

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa menggunakan metode pembelajaran kooperatif Think Pair Share (TPS) dan metode pembelajaran kooperatif  Jigsaw. Tahapan yang dilaksanakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu (1) penyusunan proposal penelitian, (2) penyusunan perangkat penelitian, (3) penyusunan instrumen penelitian, (4) validasi instrumen penelitian, (5) pelaksanaan penelitian, (6) penyajian hasil penelitian, (7) analisis dan laporan.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas TPS tidak sama dengan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas Jigsaw, Dengan rata-rata posttest sebesar 76,21 untuk kelas  yang menggunakan metode Think Pair Share dan 70,44 untuk kelas yang menggunakan metode Jigsaw. Karena hasil belajar lebih tinggi pada kelas TPS maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa TGB lebih bisa meningkatkan hasil belajarnya bila menggunakan metode pembelajaran kooperatif Think Pair Share (TPS), karena dengan menggunakan TPS hasil belajar bisa mencapai diatas SKM 75 dengan persentase 57,6% dan jumlah siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 19 orang dari 33 siswa.

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diatas maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode pembelajaran kooperatif Think Pair Share (TPS) dapat digunakan sebagai metode pembelajaran guru dalam menyampaikan materi pada kompetensi dasar mendeskripsikan bahan bangunan kayu kelas TGB di SMKN 3 Jombang.

This study aims to determine the results of student learning using cooperative learning Think Pair Share (TPS) and Jigsaw cooperative learning methods . Stages are conducted in this study are (1) the preparation of a research proposal, (2) the preparation of the research, (3) the preparation of research instruments, (4) validation of research instruments, (5) implementation of research, (6) the presentation of research results, (7) analyzes and reports .

The results showed the average classroom student learning outcomes TPS is not equal to the average student learning outcomes Jigsaw class , With an average of  posttest 76.21 for classes using Think Pair Share and 70.44 for the class using Jigsaw . Since the result of higher learning in the classroom TPS it can be concluded that the TGB more students could improve learning results when using cooperative learning Think Pair Share ( TPS ) , because by using the TPS learning outcomes can reach over 75 SKM with a percentage of 57.6 % and the number of students who completed as many as 19 out of 33 students.

Based on the above results it can be concluded that the method of cooperative learning Think Pair Share ( TPS ) can be used as a learning method teachers in delivering the material to the basic competence describing TGB wood building materials class at SMK 3 Jombang .
