PENERAPAN METODE TUTOR SEBAYA MELALUI LATIHAN TERBIMBING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS X KKY PADA MATA PELAJARAN MEKANIKA TEKNIK DI SMKN 2 SURABAYA

Abstract

Hasil wawancara prasurvei terhadap guru produktif kelas X KKY bahwa proses pembelajaran di SMK Negeri 2 Surabaya menunjukkan guru masih mengajar dengan menggunakan metode konvensional sehingga siswa lebih banyak pasif pada saat guru memberikan waktu untuk bertanya. Hasil belajar siswa kelas X KKY pada mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik yang berpredikat Cukup (C) sebanyak 65%. Tujuan dari  penelitian ini adalah mengetahui: a). Hasil belajar siswa kelas X KKY setelah menerapkan metode tutor sebaya pada mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik di SMKN 2 Surabaya, dan b). Keterlaksanaan metode tutor sebaya tersebut.

Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah "Pretest Posttest Control Group Design" dengan 5 step. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2013/2014 di SMK Negeri 2 Surabaya. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X Program Studi Keahlian Teknik Bangunan di SMKN 2 Surabaya, sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X KKY dengan jumlah masing-masing 30 siswa. Teknik analisis data untuk perangkat pembelajaran yang divalidasi dianalisis secara deskriptif sedangkan analisis hasil belajar siswa dilakukan dengan uji homogenitas dan uji-t dua pihak menggunakan program IBM SPSS Statistics 20. Perangkat pembelajaran yang meliputi silabus, RPP, LKS, dan soal yang telah divalidasi dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan.

Hasil belajar kelas X KKY 1 saat eksperimen step I dan III mengalami peningkatan 0,8%, step III dan V meningkat 1,8%, dan pada saat kontrol step II dan IV meningkat 4%. Hasil belajar kelas KKY 2 pada saat eksperimen step II dan IV meningkat 1,58%, dan pada saat kontrol step I dan III meningkat 6,6%, step III dan V meningkat 3,1%. Berdasarkan analisis hasil pengamatan keterlaksanaan metode tutor sebaya dari semua step berkriteria baik dengan persentase 52,38% dan kriteria sangat baik dengan persentase 47,62%.

The results of the interviews prasurvei productive teachers of class X KKY that the process of learning at SMK Negeri 2 Surabaya shows teachers still teach using conventional methods so that students are passive when the teacher gives time to ask. The results of class X KKY on the subjects of Engineering Mechanics predicated Self (C) by 65%. The purpose of this research was : a). To determine the learning result of students of class X KKY after applying the method of peer tutoring on subjects of Engineering Mechanics at SMK 2 Surabaya, and b). Feasibility of the method of peer tutoring.

The study design used was a "pretest posttest control group design" with step 5. This research was conducted in the second semester of academic year 2013/2014 at SMK Negeri 2 Surabaya. The population in this study were students of class X Technical Skills Building Program at SMK 2 Surabaya, while the samples in this study were students of class X KKY the number of 30 students each. Data analysis techniques for learning devices validated analyzed descriptively while student learning outcomes analysis conducted by homogenity test and t-test two parties using IBM SPSS Statistics 20 program. Learning tools that include syllabus, lesson plans, worksheets, and questions that have been validated declared unfit for use.

The results of KKY 1 current step experiments I and III have increased 0,8%, step III and V increased by 1,8%, while the control step II and IV increased by 4%. Learning results KKY 2 during step experiments II and IV increased by 1,58%, while the control step I and III increased by 6,6%, step III and V increased by 3,1%. Based on the analysis of observations of peer tutoring method enforceability of all criteria neither step is dominated by the percentage of 52.38% and the criteria very well with the percentage of 47.62%.
