HUBUNGAN PENGHASILAN ORANG TUA TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN JASMANI, OLAHRAGA DAN KESEHATAN (Studi Pada Siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Wonoayu, Sidoarjo)

Orang tua bertanggung jawab atas sarana dan motivasi belajar anak. Orang tua yang mempunyai penghasilan rendah, kebutuhan pokok anak pasti kurang terpenuhi.. Berbeda dengan orang tua yang berpenghasilan tinggi, kebutuhan anak pun akan dengan mudah terpenuhi. Seperti berangkat sekolah selalu sarapan, sepatu olahraga untuk mengikuti pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani, Olahraga dan Kesehatan (PJOK) bisa dengan mudah terpenuhi. Walaupun tidak dapat dipungkiri adanya kemungkinan anak yang serba kekurangan akibat penghasilan orang tua yang rendah, seperti anak berangkat sekolah tidak sarapan, sepatu olahraga juga tidak punya, atau sudah mulai rusak,  justru keadaan seperti itu dapat dijadikan motivasi untuk belajar lebih giat dalam pembelajaran (PJOK). Dalam hal ini dapat dikatakan penghasilan orang tua dapat berpengaruh pada motivasi belajar siswa.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan penghasilan orang tua terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran (PJOK) pada siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Wonoayu, Sidoarjo. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian non eksperimen melalui pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Wonoayu, Sidoarjo dengan jumlah sampel 100 siswa. Instrument penelitian ini menggunakan lembar biodata peserta didik dan angket motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani, olahraga dan kesehatan. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi tata jenjang (spearman).

Hasil perhitungan data menunjukkan hasil r_hitung sebesar -0,104 dan sign 2 (tailed) sebesar 0,305. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa r_hitung (-0,104) < r_tabel 0,195 yang berarti H₀ diterima dan H₁ ditolak. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara penghasilan orang tua dengan motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran (PJOK) pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Wonoayu, Sidoarjo.

Abstract 

Parents are responsible for facilitating and motivating the education of their children. Parents with low income generally cannot completely afford the basic needs of the children need. In contrast with the wealth ones, the children basic needs are easily fulfilled. For instance, simply like the routines of breakfast before go to school and the availability of sport shoes for physical education, sport and health (PJOK) are effortless fulfilled. Yet, there is another possibility, the circumstances in which underprivileged children undergo, such as there is no breakfast every morning also the absence of inappropriate shoes for school can be a trigger to learn better and harder to create a bright future. In other words, the income of the parents influences children motivation in learning process.

The objective of this research was to examine the correlation between parents’ income and student’s motivation in the learning process of physical education, sport, and health (PJOK) in the Seventh Graders of SMP Negeri 1 Wonoayu, Sidoarjo. This research applied non-experimental research within descriptive quantitative approach by using correlation design. The populations of this research were all of the Seventh Graders in SMP Negeri 1 Wonoayu, sidoarjo, meanwhile, the sample were 100 students. The instrument of this research used students’ biodata and questionnaire about students’ motivation in the learning physical education, sport and health. In analyzing the data, spearman correlation was employed.

The results of calculations data showed the r_value of -0,104 and sign 2 (tailed) of 0,305. This showed that the r_value (-0,104) < r_table 0,195 which meant that H₀ is accepted and H₁ rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that there was no significant correlation between parents’ income and students’ motivation in learning physical education, sport, and health of the seventh graders in SMP Negeri 1 Wonoayu, Sidoarjo.
