Kepala sekolah dan pengawas mempunyai peran penting dalam mengatur suatu lembaga pendidikan, khususnya kinerja guru dan staf pendidik di dalam lembaga pendidikan agar tercapainya visi dan misi lembaga pendidikan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengkaji persepsi kepala sekolah dan pengawas sekolah terhadap kinerja guru PJOK SMPN se-Kota Blitar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif, desain penelitian one shot case study, dengan subyek penelitian 8 kepala sekolah dan 1 pengawas SMPN se-Kota Blitar. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket tertutup dan angket kadar keguruan guru PJOK, serta teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif.

Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kinerja guru PJOK SMPN se-Kota Blitar memberikan kategori “sangat baik” menurut persepsi kepala sekolah dan menurut persepsi pengawas sekolah mendapatkan kategori “baik.” Hasil pengukuran kadar keguruan dari 8 guru pengampu mata pelajaran PJOK SMPN se-Kota Blitar rata-rata mendapatkan kategori “baik.” Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan hasil kadar keguruan guru PJOK, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kategori kinerja guru PJOK SMPN se-Kota Blitar berkadar keguruan dan berkinerja minimal mendapatkan kategori “baik.”

Abstract

School principals and school supervisors have important roles to regulate the educational institutions, especially teachers and other staffs performance to achieve the vision and mission of the institution. This study aims to find out and assess the perceptions of school principals and school supervisors towards sport, recreational, and physical education teachers’ performance of all state junior high schools in Blitar. The research method was descriptive quantitative using one shot case study with 8 State junior high school principals and 1 school supervisor in Blitar as research subjects. The instruments were closed questionnaires and teacher level questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics.

The result of the study showed that based on the perception of school principals’ perceptions, the performance of sport, recreational, and physical teacher of all junior high schools in Blitar fell into “very good” category. Meanwhile, based on the perceptions of school supervisor’s perception, it fell into “good” category. Based on the result of the study, it was concluded that the performance of sport, recreational, and physical teachers of all junior high school reached “good” category in terms of their competence as teachers.
