PERBANDINGAN TINGKAT KEBUGARAN JASMANI ANTARA SISWA YANG MENGIKUTI EKSTRAKURIKULER TAEKWONDO DI SMAN 4 SIDOARJO DAN SMAN 1 GEDANGAN

Abstract

Abstrak

Olahraga sangat penting bagi manusia untuk mencapai kehidupan yang sehat dan bugar. Dalam lingkungan sekolah, kesehatan dan kebugaran siswa dicapai melalui kegiatan olahraga yang diaplikasikan ke dalam ekstrakurikuler Taekwondo. Penelitian ini berupaya mengetahui (1) berapa tingkat kebugaran jasmani siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler Taekwondo di SMAN 4 sidoarjo, (2) berapa tingkat kebugaran jasmani siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler Taekwondo di SMAN 1 Gedangan, (3) Perbedaan mana yang lebih baik tingkat kebugaran jasmani antara siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler Taekwondo di SMAN 4 Sidoarjo dan di SMAN 1 Gedangan. Adapun jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian non-eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengujian hipotesis dianalisa secara statistik untuk menguji hipotesis uji-t (beda antar kelompok). Dari hasil perhitungan uji-t menunjukkan nilai Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,049 > 0,05, maka dapat disimpulkan hipotesis tidak diterima. Dengan kata lain tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan tingkat kebugaran jasmani antara siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler Taekwondo di SMAN 4 Sidoarjo dan SMAN 1 Gedangan. Hal tersebut dikarenakan kesamaan yaitu, ekstrakurikuler di kedua sekolah tersebut memiliki jadwal latihan yang sama dengan satu minggu dua kali pertemuan dan durasi latihan dua jam. Maka siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler Taekwondo di SMAN 4 Sidoarjo dan SMAN 1 Gedangan sama-sama memiliki aktivitas gerak yang relatif sama, dan berada dalam rentang umur yang sama. Sehingga tidak ada perbedaan kebugaran jasmani.

Abstract

Sport is incredibly necessary for humans to attain a healthy and a fitness life. Within the school atmosphere, students’ health and fitness are achieved through sports activities that are applied to Taekwondo self-defense as an extracurricular. This study seeks to find out (1) what physical fitness level of Taekwondo extracurricular students at Senior High School 4 Sidoarjo, (2) what physical fitness level of Taekwondo extracurricular students at Senior High School 1 Gedangan, and (3) the difference which is better between physical fitness students who participate Taekwondo at Senior High School 4 Sidoarjo and Senior High School 1 Gedangan as extracurricular activity. The research type is non-experimental research with a quantitative approach. Hypotheses were analyzed statistically to test the t-test hypothesis (the difference between groups). From the results of the t-test calculation, it shows the Sig (2-tailed) value is 0.49 (> 0.05), it can be concluded hypothesis is not accepted. In other words, there is no significant difference in the level of physical fitness between students who take Taekwondo extracurricular at Senior High School 4 Sidoarjo and Senior High School 1 Gedangan. This is because similarities, namely, extracurricular activities in both schools have the same training schedule with one week two meetings and two hours of training duration. Then students who take Taekwondo extracurricular at Senior High School 4 Sidoarjo and Senior High School 1 Gedangan both have relatively similar motion activities and are in the same age range. So, there is no difference in physical fitness. Furthermore the extracurricular activities in each schools have an equivalent training schedule with two meetings or exercises in one week and two hours of coaching length. In conclusion, there’s no distinction in level of physical fitness among students who join Taekwondo extracurricular at Senior High School 4 Sidoarjo and Senior High School 1 Gedangan.
