HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN ORANG TUA TERHADAP MINAT SISWA DALAM MENGIKUTI EKSTRAKURIKULER BOLA VOLI DI SMP NEGERI DI KECAMATAN PORONG

Pendidikan memiliki peranan penting bagi proses perkembangan manusia. Dalam ranah pendidikan di sekolah, pendidikan merupakan proses belajar mengajar antara pendidik atau guru dengan peserta didik atau murid yang di dalamnya terdapat aktivitas belajar baik intrakurikuler maupun ekstrakurikuler. Ekstrakurikuler adalah sarana bagi siswa yang ingin mengembangkan atau meningkatkan kemampuan bakat yang dimiliki, sehingga siswa bebas memilih ekstrakurikuler apapun yang diminati yang telah disediakan atau dilaksanakan oleh pihak sekolah, salah satunya dengan mengikuti ekstrakurikuler bola voli.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) Untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan dukungan orang tua terhadap siswa dalam mengikuti ekstrakurikuler bola voli di SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Porong. 2) Mengetahui besarnya hubungan dukungan orang tua terhadap siswa dalam mengikuti ekstrakurikuler bola voli di SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Porong. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah Siswa SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Porong dan jumlah sampel yang diambil sebanyak 41 siswa. Metode dalam analisa ini menggunakan metode statistik kuantitatif deskriptif dan korelasional. Sedangkan proses pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket dukungan orang tua dan minat siswa yang diadaptasi dari Purwanto (2008: 82-83) . Hasil analisa statistik didapatkan nilai nilai rhitung 0,216 ≤ rtabel 0,3008 dengan Sig = 0,174 ≥ α = 0,05 yang berarti menunjukkan bahwa H0 diterima dan Ha ditolak, sehingga tidak ada hubungan dukungan orang tua terhadap siswa dalam mengikuti ekstrakurikuler bola voli di SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Porong.

ABSTRACT

Education has an important role in human development. School education is a teaching and learning process between educator or teacher with students, which there are learning activities both intracurricular and extracurricular. Extracurricular means an activity for students who want to develop or enhance their talents in out of school time.So they are free to choose any extracurricular that they are interested in.All extracurricular activity are provided or carried out by the school, one of them is volleyball extracurricular. The purpose of this study are (1) to determine whether there is any relationship between parents support for students participation in volleyball extracurricular activities at the State High Junior School in PorongSubdistrict and 2) Knowing the magnitude of the relationship between parents support to students participation in volleyball extracurricular activities at the State High Junior School in PorongSubdistrict. The population of this study wereall student of State High Junior School in PorongSubdistrict and the number of samples were 41 students. The data analysis used descriptive and correlational quantitative statistical methods. While the data retrieval process was carried out using parental support questionnaires and student interests that were adapted from Purwanto (2008: 82-83). The results of the statistical analysis showed that the value ofrcount 0,216 ≤ rtable 0,3008 with Sig = 0,174 ≥ α = 0 , which means that H0 was accepted and Ha was rejected.So there was no relationship of parental support for students in volleyball extracurricular activities in State High Junior School in PorongSubdistrict.
