SURVEI MINAT SISWA TERHADAP OLAHRAGA RUGBY DI SMA NEGERI SE-KECAMATAN JOMBANG

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui seberapa tinggi minat SMA Negeri Se-Kecamatan Jombang dalam olahraga rugby. Rugby merupakan pertandingan tim yang menggunakan bola oval atau lonjong untuk dimainkan melewati lawan, meletakan bola dan ditendang untuk mendapat poin. Minat adalah kesukaan terhadap suatu benda, obyek, atau situasi kegiatan yang melebihinya. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Negeri Se-Kecamatan Jombang, berjumlah 986 siswa dari 3 sekolah. Metode pencariansampeldalam tiga sekolah tersebut menggunakan cluster roundom sampling dan memperoleh 208 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif untuk menganalisis hasil penelitian.Pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan angket minat siswa yang sudah divalidasi dengan validitas 0,43 - 0,767menggunakan uji reabilitas-0,86. Sehingga dari hasil analisis statistikmenggunakan aplikasi spss menunjukkan bahwa kategori minat siswa masuk dalam kategori tinggi di SMA Negeri Se-Kecamatan Jombang dalam permainan rugby dengan hasil menunjukkan sebanyak 65,3%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to measure how high the interest of students of state senior high schools around the subdistrict of Jombang in rugby sport.Rugby is a kind of soccer sport using an oval ball played by a team opposing another in which each team consists of fifteen players. To get points, the players of each team should compete to posses the ball and make a breakthrough the opponent players and then throw or kick the ball to the goal.Interest is fondness, or the condition of being intersted in something or an object.The respondents of this research are the students of state senior high schools throughout subdistricts in Jombang, with the sum of 986 students from 3 schools. The method of sample searching in the 3 schools uses cluster random sampling and found 208 students selected. This research uses quantitative approach method to analyze the result of the research. This quantitative approach uses questionnaire of students interest having validated with the validity of -0.86 so that from the result of statistic analysis using SPSS application shows that the category of students interest in rugby sport is considered high in state senior high schools throughout subdistricts in Jombang with the result of 65.3%.
