PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA PERMAINAN BOCCE TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MOTORIK SISWA DOWN SYNDROME

Down syndrome merupakan suatu bentuk kelainan yang disebabkan adanya kromosom tambahan pada kromosom 21. Anak down syndrome mengalami kesulitan untuk melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari karena perkembangan motoriknya sangat lambat dibandingkan dengan anak lainnya. Dari mata pelajaran PJOK, anak down syndrome mendapat latihan rutin dan terprogram agar dapat meningkatkan keterampilan motoriknya. Akan tetapi, pihak guru belum pernah memberi materi dengan menggunakan media permainan bocce yang dapat melatih kemampuan motorik siswa down syndrome. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh penggunaan media permainan bocce terhadap kemampuan motorik siswa down syndrome dan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh penggunaan media permainan bocce terhadap kemampuan motorik siswa down syndrome di SLB Bina Bangsa, Sidoarjo. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimen semu dengan deskriptif kuantitatif. Desain penelitian one group pre-test dan post-test serta populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa down syndrome kelas IV, V dan VI SLB Bina Bangsa, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 10 siswa putra. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka diperoleh nilai signifikan 0.00 < 0.05 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media permainan bocce terhadap kemampuan motorik siswa down syndrome dan dengan hasil peningkatan dari pre-test ke post-test pengaruh penggunaan media permainan bocce terhadap kemampuan motorik siswa down syndrome di SLB Bina Bangsa, Sidoarjo sebesar 64%.

Abstract

Down syndrome is a form of abnormality that represents an additional chromosome on chromosome 21. Children with down syndrome have difficulty doing daily activities because their motor development is very slow compared to other children. From Physical, Sport and Health Education subjects, children with down syndrome receive regular and programmed training in order to improve their motoric skills. However, the teacher never provided material with use the media bocce games that can help motoric skills of  Down Syndrome students.  This study aims to determine whether or not there is an influence use the media bocce games to motoric skills of down syndrome students and to find out how much influence use the media bocce games to motoric skills of down syndrome students in Special Education School Bina Bangsa, Sidoarjo. This research type is experimental with quantitative descriptive. The study design of one group pre-test and post-test as well the population in this study were Down Syndrome students class IV, V and VI Special Education School Bina Bangsa, with a sample size of 10 male students. Based on results study, it was obtained a significant value of 0.00 < 0.05 which means that related use the media bocce games to motoric skills of down syndrome students and the results obtained increase from pre-test to post-test the influence use the media bocce games to motoric skills of down syndrome students in Special Education School Bina Bangsa, Sidoarjo a value 64%.
