Kurikulum Merdeka inovasi dalam dunia pendidikan yang berorientasi pada pengembangan potensi, minat, dan kompetensi murid secara maksimal. Kurikulum ini membolehkan keleluasaan terhadap pendidik dan yang dididik untuk mengadaptasikan proses belajar mengajar dengan kebutuhan dan ciri khas masing-masing, guna mewujudkan pengalaman belajar yang lebih nyaman, menyenangkan, dan bermakna. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan mengkaji implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di SMPN 1 Maduranpenelitian ini termasuk penelitian yang menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian meliputi tiga pengajar  PJOK, seorang wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum, kepala sekolah, serta 73 siswa. Data diambil dari wawancara lansung, lalu data ditelaah secara deskriptif. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa SMPN 1 Maduran telah melaksanakan Kurikulum Merdeka melalui skema Mandiri Belajar, Mandiri Berbagi, dan Mandiri Berubah. Modul ajar diperbaharui secara berkala sesuai dengan ketentuan terbaru, sementara Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran PJOK untuk menanamkan nilai keimanan, ketakwaan, toleransi, gotong royong, serta meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Meskipun demikian, keterbatasan sarana, prasarana, dan kesiapan sumber daya manusia masih menjadi tantangan dalam penerapan kurikulum ini secara optimal.

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum is structured to enhance the development of students' abilities, interests, and competencies. It offers flexibility for both teachers and learners to design learning approaches tailored to their individual skills, fostering a learning environment that is both enjoyable and effective in achieving desired outcomes. This research seeks to examine how the Independent Curriculum is implemented at SMPN 1 Maduran. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, involving three PJOK teachers, the vice principal responsible for curriculum development, the principal, and 73 students as participants. Data collection was conducted through interviews, and the findings were synthesized through thematic analysis. Results show that SMPN 1 Maduran has adopted the Independent Curriculum through the schemes of independent learning, independent sharing, and independent transformation. The instructional modules are consistently revised to align with the latest educational guidelines, and the Pancasila Student Profile Project is incorporated into PJOK lessons to instill the values of faith, devotion, tolerance, cooperation, and motivation for learning. Despite these efforts, limited school preparedness continues to pose a challenge to the full execution of the curriculum.
