PENERAPAN METODE DEMONSTRASI DENGAN BANTUAN MEDIA GAMBAR TERHADAP KETEPATAN SERVICE BAWAH BOLAVOLI (Studi pada Kegiatan Ekstrakurikuler Bolavoli SMP Negeri 40 Surabaya)

Suatu model latihan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik diharapkan bisa menangani kesulitan dalam melakukan teknik service bawah pada permainan bolavoli, salah satunya dengan menggunakan metode demonstrasi dengan bantuan media gambar. Dimana dalam latihan peserta didik diberikan media gambar service bawah bolavoli di awal latihan agar mendapat gambaran secara umum tahapan gerakan service bawah bolavoli, serta penerapan metode demonstrasi yang diperagakan oleh guru ekstrakurikuler ketika latihan di lapangan sebagai penguat pesan ajar yang telah disampaikan dalam media gambar pada awal latihan sehingga diharapkan memudahkan peserta didik dalam penguatan ajar yang telah didapatkan dari media gambar dan demonstrasi dari guru ekstrakurikuler dalam melakukan teknik service bawah bolavoli. Penelitian pada peserta didik yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bolavoli di SMP Negeri 40 Surabaya, dimana pemberian materi service bawah bolavoli dengan penerapan metode demonstrasi dengan bantuan media gambar dalam latihan dilakukan sebanyak 5 kali penelitian dan perlakuan dilaksanakan pada pertemuan ke 2 sampai ke 4, sedangkan pertemuan ke 1 dan ke 5 digunakan sebagai pengambilan data pretest dan posttest yang bertujuan untuk membuktikan adanya perbedaan pada ketepatan service bawah bolavoli melalui penerapan metode demonstrasi dengan bantuan media gambar di SMP Negeri 40 Surabaya. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian semu (Quasi Experiment) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan menggunakan one group pretest – posttest design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 30 siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu: ketepatan tes service bawah menurut American Alliance for Health, Physical Education Recreation (AAHPER). Untuk mengetahui adanya peningkatan hasil pretest dan posttest,. Hasil penelitian ini  adalah sebagai berikut: dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian metode demonstrasi dengan bantuan media gambar dalam materi service bawah bolavoli memberikan nilai rata-rata peningkatan ketepatan sebesar 27,89%. Berdasarkan hasil uji paired samples test diperoleh diperoleh nilai t hitung sebesar 9,110 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 (p < 0,05). Dengan demikian, H₀ ditolak yang berarti ada perbedaan pada ketepatan service bawah bolavoli melalui penerapan metode demonstrasi dengan bantuan media gambar di SMP Negeri 40 Surabaya.

Abstract

One of the model exercises which are appropriate with the students’ needs that can be used to handle the difficulties to do technic of under service on the volleyball game is the demonstration method. That method combined with pictures was used on the training where they were given pictures of under service media on the beginning of the training. After they saw the media, they got a clear description about the steps how to do under service, and strengthened the material that was taught before so they could easily comprehend how to do the under service on the volleyball game. The experiment was categorized as quasi experimental with quantitative approach and pre-test and post-test data. The sample of this research was 30 students. The experiment on the students who followed the volleyball extracurricular in SMP Negeri 40 Surabaya where the material was given 5 times and the experiment was done on the 2^nd till 4^th meeting while the 1^st and 5^th meeting was used to get pre-test and post-test data to make a final conclusion that there was a difference to the accuracy of under service by using those medias. Analysis of data used in this research was the accuracy test according to American Alliance for Health, Physical Education Recreation (AAHPER). The result of this research showed that there was a significant difference between the achievement before media used and after media used by 27.89%. It means the media was successful to improve the students’ skill in service when they play volleyball. According to the paired test, the researcher got t-score 9.110 and significant points 0.000 < 0.05 (p < 0.05). Consequently, the Ho was rejected and the Hypothesis stated by the researcher was accepted. That’s why the use of picture media combined with demonstrative method is useful to improve the students’ skill in servicing when they play volleyball.
