PENGARUH MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN VIDEO COMPACT DISK (VCD) TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR BATTING PADA PERMAINAN SOFTBALL (Studi pada Siswa Kelas X SMK Negeri 12 Surabaya)

Di dalam pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani, diperlukan peran ataupun upaya seorang pendidik untuk melakukan kegiatan belajar secara optimal. Permainan softball merupakan salah satu materi dalam kurikulum pendidikan jasmani yang termasuk dalam materi bola kecil dan memiliki karakteristik permainan yang cukup kompleks. Dalam permainan softball terdapat beberapa bentuk keterampilan teknik dasar yang harus dikuasai oleh seorang pemain. Salah satu teknik tersebut adalah teknik memukul bola (Batting). Penyampaian materi secara lisan dan dilanjutkan dengan demonstrasi dapat menimbulkan pembelajaran yang monoton sehingga siswa sulit memahami materi ajar tersebut dengan baik. Oleh karena itu dengan menggunakan bantuan media VCD proses pembelajaran diharapkan tidak monoton dan dapat menarik atensi belajar siswa supaya lebih aktif dalam mendalami materi yang disampaikan dan diharapkan dapat memengaruhi hasil belajar siswa dalam hal materi batting pada permainan softball. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media pembelajaran VCD terhadap hasil belajar batting pada permainan softball pada siswa kelas X di SMK Negeri 12 Surabaya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen murni dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design, dengan populasi siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 12 Surabaya berjumlah 256 siswa. Cara menentukan sample dengan purposive random sampling sehingga didapat kelas X jurusan DPIL sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang berjumlah 35 siswa dan kelas X jurusan DKV sebagai kelompok kontrol yang berjumlah 32 siswa, jadi jumlah sampel keseluruhan adalah 67 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan pemberian 2 kali perlakuan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh media pembelajaran VCD terhadap hasil belajar batting pada permainan softball pada siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 12 Surabaya. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji t kedua kelompok (Independennt Sample) hasil didapatkan nilai t_hitung – 1,416 <  t_tabel 1,990.

Abstract

In physical education learning process, the role and effort of an educator is needed to conduct the learning process optimally. The game of softball is one of the material in physical education curriculum which is a part of small ball material that has quite complex game characteristic. There are some basic technique skills that need to be mastered by a softball player. One of those method is the technique of ball hitting (batting). The lecture continued with demonstration may cause monotonous learning that makes it hard for the student to understand the material well. Therefore, with the help of VCD, the learning process is expected to be not monotonous and able to draw the student attention in learning so that they can be more active in learning the material delivered and also expected to influence the students’ learning result of batting in softball game. The purpose of this research is to percieve the influence of the use VCD media to the result of batting learning process in softball game to the 10th graders of SMKN 12 Surabaya. This was a pure experiment type of research with descriptive quantitative approach. This research used Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design, with the population of 256 10th graders of SMKN 12 Surabaya. Purposive Random Sampling was used to determine the sample, where 35 student from DPIL class as experimental group and 32 student from DKV class as control group are obtained, which add up to the total of 67 students as sample. Based on the research with two treatments, it can be concluded that there are no influence from the use of VCD learning media towards the learning result of batting in softball game in 10th graders of SMKN 12 Surabaya. This can be evidenced with the Ttest result of both groups (Independent Sample) which is t_hitung – 1,416 < t_tabel 1,990.
