Abstract

 

Abstract

Improving the quality of vocational education in Indonesia continues to be carried out to obtain graduates who are able to compete in an increasingly developing world. In improving the quality of education, the problem that needs attention is how students learn and the learning process. The problem-based learning model (PBL) is a learning model that can be applied in vocational education, one of which is the caliper measuring instrument. This study aims to determine the effect of the number of measurement tools on student performance at SMK Krian 2 Sidoarjo. Experimental research is used in research along with pre-experimental designs. Data analysis was carried out by knowing the normality test and hypothesis testing. The results showed that there was an effect of applying the problem-based learning model to the material of the caliper measuring instrument on student achievement, the significance value found was 0.037. This means that it has a positive effect because the sig value <0.05.
