Abstract

Abstract

The two main aspects that will be analyzed in this research are the level of student activity and student learning outcomes after implementing the STAD cooperative learning model. This research is classroom action research involving the pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II stages. With a classroom action research approach, this research not only aims to observe changes but also to carry out continuous improvement actions based on the evaluation results of each cycle. The results of this research show that student achievement, as measured in class average grades, experienced a significant increase from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I, there was an increase of 53.26%, and in cycle II it increased to 83.33%, which is in the good category. Student learning outcomes, as measured by the class average score, also showed a positive increase from pre-cycle to cycle II. In the pre-cycle, the average class score was 62.55, increased to 70.18 in cycle I, and reached 83.63 in cycle II. This success shows that the STAD cooperative learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes in technical drawing subjects at SMK Negeri 1 Ngasem Kediri.
