Abstract

Abstract

The Vernier Caliper application is an application for vernier calipers and their measurement results. This research aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Project Based Learning model assisted by the Vernier caliper application in Playstore on student learning outcomes in the mechanical engineering department at SMK N egeri 1 Driyorejo Gresik. This research uses a quasi-experimental research method and a Nonequivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control Group Design research design. The data collection technique uses an objective test with a total of 20 questions and an observation questionnaire. The results of the research are that there is a positive influence on improving student learning outcomes when implementing the Project Based Learning model assisted by the vernier caliper application on student learning outcomes. Apart from that, from the results obtained from the N-Gain test, a value of 56.65 was obtained, which is in quite the effective category. This is because this application has attractive images, can be used offline and online, and students can learn anywhere and anytime.
