The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the use of mind mapping in the learning independence curriculum on the psychology of generation Z. Researchers used a one group pretest-posttest design with paired sample t-test data analysis technique. Population of all students in the Automotive Engineering Expertise Program at SMKN 1 Kediri and the research sample was class X TKR students with a total of 70 students. Collection of data collection using a student psychology questionnaire with 20 statement items.  The results show that responses, interest, interest, motivation and student satisfaction are included in the very good category with an average value of 86%. with an average value of 86%. Mind mapping media is recommended for Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) material.
