PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN TRAINER KONTROL RELAY UNTUK MENUNJANG MATA KULIAH INSTRUMENTASI DAN KENDALI PROGRAM STUDI S1 PENDIDIKAN TEKNIK MESIN

Abstract
The low level of practical skills in relay control among students of the Mechanical Engineering Education undergraduate program in the Instrumentation and Control course has become a major issue affecting student learning outcomes. To address this problem, a research and development study was conducted with the aim of improving student learning outcomes through the creation of an instructional media in the form of a relay control trainer deemed feasible for practical use. This study employed the Research and Development method with the ADDIE approach. The subjects of this study consisted of 10 students from the 2023 intake of the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program. Validation results from experts indicated that the relay control trainer has a very high level of feasibility, with scores from media experts at 87.5%, jobsheet experts at 88.33%, and instrument experts at 88.69%. Student responses to the use of this media were also highly positive, with an average score of 88.67%. In addition, the use of the relay control trainer significantly improved student learning outcomes, as all 10 students achieved scores ≥75, meeting both individual and classical mastery learning criteria with a 100% success rate. Therefore, the relay control trainer is proven to be an effective instructional media in enhancing students' practical skills in the Instrumentation and Control course.
