Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to develop web-based learning media using the Lynk platform to support the learning of Shield Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) subjects for 10th grade Welding Engineering students at SMK Semen Gresik. The background of this study is based on the limitations of learning media, which still use blackboards and lectures, as well as low learning outcomes. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model. The object of this research is web-based learning media using the Lynk platform to support the Shield Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) subject in the Welding Engineering Department at SMK Semen Gresik. The research subjects were 12 students in grade X during the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The results of the learning media development were assessed as very feasible based on validation by subject matter experts and media experts. Student responses to the use of the media were very positive, and student learning outcomes showed an increase in the passing rate to 100% after using the learning media. The web-based learning media developed is effective in supporting the teaching and learning process in the Shield Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) subject at SMK Semen Gresik.
