AbstractThe Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is a component responsible for regulating fuel delivery and ignition timing to achieve optimal engine performance. This study aims to determine the effect of ECU remapping on power, torque, and fuel consumption in a 2016 Honda CB150R StreetFire motorcycle.This study employed an experimental method by applying variations in fuel mapping and ignition timing to the standard ECU. Performance testing was conducted using a chassis dynamometer within an engine speed range of 4,000–9,000 rpm, while fuel consumption testing was carried out over the same engine speed range.The results showed that ECU remapping affected both engine performance and fuel consumption. The advanced ignition timing configuration (+2°) with standard fuel mapping produced the highest average power output of 12.72 HP, while the advanced ignition timing configuration (+2°) generated the highest average torque of 13.70 Nm. Fuel consumption tended to increase as engine speed increased. The findings indicate that proper ECU parameter adjustment can improve engine performance without causing a significant increase in fuel consumption.
