Abstract

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the implementation of Teaching Factory (TEFA) in the Automotive Engineering program at SMKN 3 Buduran using the Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP) evaluation model. The study employed an evaluative approach with a mixed-methods design using a Convergent Parallel Design. Data were collected through questionnaires administered to three productive teachers and eighteen students, interviews with the Vice Principal for Curriculum, the TEFA manager, productive teachers, industry partners, and students, as well as observations of TEFA activities. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, while qualitative data were analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, followed by triangulation. The results indicated that the implementation of TEFA was categorized as good to very good. Teacher questionnaires showed TPR scores of 84% for context, 86% for input, 89% for process, and 83% for product. Student questionnaires showed TPR scores of 83%, 86%, 85%, and 89%, respectively. Observation results placed all aspects in the very good category, with scores of 87% for context, 92% for input, 92% for process, and 89% for product. Overall, TEFA has effectively supported industry-based learning, although improvements are still needed in practical facilities and materials, learning time management, student supervision, and the quality of products and services to better meet industry needs.
