Pengaruh Ukuran Lebar Cotton Combed Dengan Teknik Makrame Terhadap Hasil Jadi Kalung

Kalung  adalah sebuah aksessories dikenakan di leher yang panjangnya sekitar leher sampai garis pinggang terbuat dari manik-manik, rantai, permata, kulit, kerang, logam, bebatuan, mutiara dan lain-lain. Kalung memiliki berbagai macam jenis berdasarkan bentuk dan panjangnya sesuai dengan keinginan si pemakai.  Penelitian ini membuat kalung dengan teknik makrame menggunakan knit jenis cotton combed. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh ukuran lebar cotton combed dengan teknik makrame terhadap hasil jadi kalung.

Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian eksperimen, memiliki variabel bebas yakni ukuran  lebar cotton combed 1cm, 1,5cm dan 2cm. Variabel terikat yakni hasil jadi kalung meliputi aspek kerapatan simpul, kerataan simpul dan kesesuaian desain serta variabel kontrol yakni orang yang membuat, jenis knit, warna knit, plintiran. Metode pengumpulan data adalah observasi dengan daftar checklist oleh 30 orang observer. Analisis data menggunakan anava tunggal dengan bantuan program SPSS 21.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh ukuran lebar cotton combed dengan teknik makrame terhadap hasil jadi kalung ditinjau dari aspek kerapatan, kerataan dan kesesuaian desain. Aspek kerapatan pada lebar cotton combed 1,5cm menghasilkan kerapatan yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan lebar cotton combed 1cm, 2cm dan tali. Aspek kerataan pada lebar cotton combed 1cm, 1,5cm dan tali menghasilkan kerataan yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan lebar cotton combed 2cm. Aspek kesesuaian desain pada lebar cotton combed 1cm dan lebar 1,5cm menghasilkan kesesuaian desain yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan lebar cotton combed 2cm dan tali.

Abstract

Necklace is an accessory used around the neck which has length surrounded on the neck to the waistline, it made of beads of chain, jewel, leather, metal, pearl etc. Necklace has many typesbased on shape and it length according to wearer desire. The research made necklace by macramé technique using combed cotton knit fabric. The objective of the research was to know the effect of cotton combed width by macrame technique to the outcome of necklace.

The research was experimental research which has independent variable width of combed cotton 1 cm, 1.5cm and 2 cm. The dependent variable was the outcome on the necklace viewed from aspects of density, evenness, and similarity design. Controlled variables were people working, type of knit, knit color and twisting technique. Data collecting method was observation using checklist performed by 30 observers. Then data analyzing used one way anava with the help of SPSS 21 program.

The result of the research showed that there was effect of cotton combed width by macrame technique to the outcome of necklace viewed from aspects of density, evenness and similarity design. The density aspect which has width 1,5cm obtained better result than the width 1cm, 2cm dan cord. The evenness aspect which has width 1cm, 1,5cm and cord obtained better result than the width 2cm. The similarity design aspect which has width 1cm and 1,5cm obtained better result than the width 2cm and cord.
