PRAKTIK SOSIAL PESERTA DIDIK DALAM MEMASUKI SMA NEGERI 1 KEDUNGWARU DI KABUPATEN TULUNGAGUNG

Banyak khalayak yang lebih memilih sekolah favorit daripada sekolah reguler. Oleh karena itu, untuk memasuki sekolah tersebut pun harus memiliki habitus, ranah dan modal. Sehingga, akan menghasilkan suatu praktik sosial peserta didik dalam memasuki sekolah favorit yaitu SMA Negeri 1 Kedungwaru di Kabupaten Tulungagung.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui praktik sosial peserta didik dalam memasuki SMA Negeri 1 Kedungwaru yang memiliki predikat sebagai sekolah berlabel favorit. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini, menggunakan pendekatan strukturalis genetis Pierre Bourdieu dengan menggunakan konsep teori (Habitus x Modal) + Ranah = Praktik. Hasil penelitian ini, menunjukkan bahwa tidak semua siswa yang masuk di SMA Negeri 1 Kedungwaru adalah siswa yang benar-benar memiliki prestasi. tidak sedikit dari mereka, menggunakan berbagai cara dengan memaksimalkan modal yang dimiliki untuk mencapai tujuannya. Terdapat tiga jalur yang dilakukan siswa dalam memasuki SMA Negeri 1 Kedungwaru, yaitu: (1) Jalur prestasi atau undangan, di mana siswa menonjolkan modal budaya yang dimiliki. (2) Jalur suap, siswa menggunakan modal ekonomi berupa uang. (3) Menggunakan jaringan sosial, siswa menggunakan pihak pembantu yang memiliki jabatan penting untuk mencapai tujuannya. Ketiga jalur tersebut tentunya akan berpengaruh terhdaap prestasi dan hubungan siswa dengan lingkungan sekolahnya. Bagi siswa yang memiliki modal budaya yang lebih, maka siswa selalu aktif dalam berbagai kegiatan dan dapat menjalin hubungan yang harmonis dengan warga sekolah, sedangkan bagi siswa yang tidak memiliki modal budaya, maka siswa tidak memiliki prestasi dan hubungan yang baik dengan warga sekolah.

ABSTRACT

Many audiences who prefer favorite school than regular schools. The amount of interest, making the audience especially students vying to enter the school in various ways. To enter the school must have a habitus, domains and capital. So, will result in a social practice of students in the school entered favorites that SMA 1 Kedungwaru in Tulungagung.The purpose of this study was to determine the social practices of students in entering the SMA Negeri 1 Kedungwaru who have labeled the title as a favorite school. This research method, is a qualitative descriptive. Data were collected through in-depth interview, participant observation and gathering documents, the focus of this research study is the social practices of students before and after entering the SMA Negeri 1 Kedungwaru.The results of this study indicate that not all students who entered in SMAN 1 Kedungwaru are students who really have achievements. not the least of them, using a variety of ways to maximize owned capital to achieve its objectives. There are three paths that do students in entering the SMA Negeri 1 Kedungwaru, namely: (1) Track achievements or invitation, in which students highlight the cultural capital owned. (2) Line bribes, students use economic capital in the form of money. (3) Using social networking, students use the maid who has an important position to achieve its objectives. Thirdly it will surely affect terhdaap student achievement and relationships with the school environment. For students who have more cultural capital, the students are always active in various activities and to establish a harmonious relationship with the school community, whereas for students who do not have the cultural capital, the students do not have the achievements and good relationship with the school community.
