PERANG STIGMA ANTARA SISWA IPA/IPS DI MAN LASEM

Adanya jurusan di jenjang sekolah menengah atas hanya menimbulkan dikotomi yang berujung pada perang stigma antara siswa IPA dan IPS. Dengan fokus penelitian pada konsep diri siswa IPA/IPS dilihat dari segi stigma.Penelitian ini menggunakan teori konsep diri dari George HebertMead yaitu I (ego), siswa  melakukan tindakan diluar definisi orang lain dan konsep Me yaitu siswa melakukan tindakan sesuai dengan definisi orang lain. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif deskriptif, dengan  pendekatan interaksionisme simbolik. Subjek penelitian yang diambil dari jurusan IPA/IPS, yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data secara primer (wawancara dan observasi) dan sekunder (dokumentasi dan internet). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan menstigma antara IPA/IPS dapat dikategorikan menjadi 4 kategori diantaranya yaitu intelektual, moral, religi dan life style. Akan tetapi stigma siswa IPA tidak terdapat kategori religius. Dengan kategori tersebut, kebanyakan siswa lebih dominan menjadi Me dibandingkan dengan I. Sedangkan siswa yang dominan memilih 1 hanya satu dari sekian banyak stigma yang ada.

Abstract

The presence of the major position on the level of senior high school, Only cause a dichotomy that led to the stigma of war between students of science and social class. With focus research on the concept of self students IPA / IPS seen from the perspective of the stigma. This research using self-concept theory of mead namely I ( ego ), Students take action outside the definition of others .While the concept of me is the students perform the act in accordance with the definition of others. The method used are qualitative of descriptive set, with the approach interaksionisme symbolic. Subject of study that is derived from the IPA / social class, taken purposively of sampling. By applying a technique data collection primary (interviews and observation ) and secondary ( documentation and the internet ). The research indicated that between activities menstigma IPA / social class can be described as being four categories of them namely intellectual, morality religious and life style. But the stigma of science are not religious. With the category most students more dominant into Me compared with I.While students dominant 1 choose only one of the many the stigma exist.
