Perkembangan zaman yang semakin modern mengakibatkan kebutuhan hidup meningkat, sehingga mempengaruhi tingginya minat pendidikan. Maka pendidikan sangat penting bagi setiap manusia. Oleh sebab itu, orang tua harus lebih jeli untuk memilih lembaga pendidikan (sekolah) bagi anaknya. Dengan demikian, orang tua akan melakukan rasionalitas dalam memilih suatu lembaga sekolah. Salah satunya adalah SD Khadijah II Surabaya. Adapun rasionalitas orang tua memilih SD Khadijah dipengaruhi oleh beberapa aspek pendorong yakni adanya pendidikan agama islam dan pendidikan nasional serta didorong dengan adanya bahasa internasional dalam bentuk International Class Program (ICP) yang dilaksanakan bagi siswa yang berminat saja. Dengan demikian, sekolah Khadijah mampu memberikan pendidikan secara global bagi anak didik. Meskipun kehadiran International Class Program (ICP) di sekolah tidak diwajibkan, akan tetapi masih ada sebagian orang tua siswa yang mengikuti program tersebut. Hal ini dilakukan karena program tersebut merupakan bahasa internasional yang dianggap penting bagi perkembangan anak-anaknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori tindakan sosial dari Max Weber. Sifat penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bagaimana rasionalitas orang tua memilih International Class Program (ICP) bagi siswa SD Khadijah II Surabaya.

Abstract

Development era increasingly modern living needs resulting in increasing so as to affect the high interest education. Then education very important for every human. Because of that parents must be more observant to choose education institution (school) to his son. Thus parents would do rationality in choosing an institusion school. One of them is the primary Khadijah II Surabaya. Now the rationality parents choose primary schools Khadijah affected by some aspects thruster namely the presence of islamic religious education and national education and driven by the persence of international language in the form of international clas program (ICP) conducted for studentwho are interested only. Thus Khadijah schools capable of providig education globaly for protage. Althoug the presence of international clas program (ICP) at school not required, however there are still some parents of students who follow the program. This is done because international language this program is that are considered important to the development of his sons. This study using the theory the social act of Max Weber. Of the nature of the research uses a qualitative methodology with the approach phenomenology. Uses the tehnique purposive the subject of study. Data was gathered through observation and interview.  As for the result this research explain how rationality of parents prefer international clas program (ICP) for elementary Khadijah II Surabaya.
