FENOMENA SNEAKERS IMPOR (STUDI KONSTRUKSI SOSIAL PEMAKAIAN SNEAKERS IMPOR UNIVERSITAS NEGERI SURABAYA)

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi penggunaan sneakers yang tidak mengenal usia tua ataupun muda, hampir setiap golongan dapat memakai sepatu sneakers kemudian muncul fenomena-fenomena maraknya penggunaan sneakers impor di Universitas Negeri Surabaya sebagai suatu realitas yang nyata dengan beralihnya fungsi sebuah sepatu dahulunya untuk melindungi kaki kemudian sekarang ini sebagai sarana trend fashion style di kalangan mahasiswa. Rumusan masalah di dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana konstruksi sneakerhead tentang pemakaaian sneakers impor. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi objektif dan konstruksi Sneakerhead tentang sejauh mana pemakaian sneakers impor di Universitas Negeri Surabaya.Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi Teori Konstruksi Sosial Peter L. Berger. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dan wawancara dengan pemilihan subyek secara Snowball dan Incidental, sasaran subyek sebagai informan berjumlah 5(lima) orang pengkoleksi sneakers (Sneakerhead) di Universitas Negeri Surabaya kemudian melakukan proses analisis dengan reduksi data,penyajian data dan verifikasi sehingga dapat merumuskan sebuah hipotesis awal. Penelitian ini memperoleh temuan awal bahwa subyek informan memakai sepatu sneakers sebagai suatu hobby selain itu sebagai sarana untuk tampil modern dan trend di kalangan anak muda Indonesia, sehingga memperoleh hasil sebagai berikut : (1) Pemakaian sneakers impor sebagai Prestige (2) Pemakaian sneakers impor dapat menumbuhkan rasa kepercayaan diri (3) Pemakaian sneaker impor sebagai refleksi kepribadian diri.

Abstract

Research background who use sneakers that do not know the age old or young, almost every class can wear sneakers then appeared phenomena widespread by use of sneakers imported at the State University of Surabaya as a tangible reality with the shift function of a shoe was formerly to protect his foot now as a means style fashion trend among college students. The problem is how the contruction sneakershead that use of impoeted sneakers. The purpose of this study was to determine an objective conditions and construction sneakerheads about the extent of the using imported sneakers at the State University of Surabaya. Qualitative research method using descriptive phenomenology Social Construction Theory Peter L. Berger. Methods of data collection using observation and interviews with the 5 (five) selection of subjects is Snowball and incidental with five targets of a sneakerheads at the State University of Surabaya. then do the analysis with data reduction, data presentation and verification so as to formulate an initial hypothesis This study obtained preliminary findings that the subject informant wearing sneakers as a hobby in addition as a means to appear modern and trend among the youngsters in Indonesia, research obtained the following results : (1) using  imported sneakers as a pride and prestige. (2) using imported sneakers can foster self confidence. (3) using imported sneakers can represent oneself.
