This phenomenon was covered by the online media Kompas.com in its news, then the researchers analyzed using the “Pan & Kosicki” framing analysis. The mass media has a very large function in society and plays a role in expressing something with a collaborative purpose to explain, interpret, comment on the meaning of an event. and information that can affect one's point of view, news regarding "PN Surabaya allows residents to marry of different religions" raises a big question mark in society because interfaith marriage deviates from Law No. 1 of 1974 concerning marriage and this news reaps the pros and cons of society so that news related to interfaith marriage is interesting to discuss, the theory used by researchers is the framing theory "Pan & kosicki" There are four elements of framing analysis pan & kosicki syntax, script, thematic & rhetorical to find out the framing used by kompas.com. The purpose of this study was to find out and analyze the construction of Kompas.com online media regarding cases of interfaith marriage that occurred in Surabaya. The research method used is framing theory which leads to the constructivism paradigm. Data collection techniques researchers use triangulation data sources as a technique to find the validity of the data. And the results of this study Kompas.com takes a neutral stance with interfaith marriage because it only presents news about what is happening without criticizing or taking sides in reporting on interfaith marriage.
