Konstruksi Masyarakat Madura Tentang Pemakaian Alat Kontrasepsi Implan di Kabupaten Pamekasan

Penggunaan alat kontrasepsi dipengaruhi oleh kondisi sosial budaya dalam masyarakat. Pemasangan alat kontrasepsi implan di bawah kulit memberikan makna seperti susuk . Masyarakat Madura yang memiliki karakteristik sebagai masyarakat religius, memiliki makna tersendiri terhadap alat kontrassepsi implan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat realita sosial secara subyektif melalui interaksi dan tindakan mengenai penggunaan alat kontrasepsi implan. Teori yang digunakan untuk masalah ini adalah teori konstruksi sosial dari Peter L. Berger. Hasil penelitian ini ialah pemilihan jenis kontrasepsi didasarkan pada kenyamanan serta nilai praktis,, pengalaman ketidakcocokan pada alat kontrasepsi lain serta kondisi ekonomi. Implan dapat diterima oleh masyarakat Madura karena tidak memiliki fungsi magis seperti susuk lainnya dan agama juga tidak melarangnya.

Abstract

The uses contraception is influenced by social and cultural conditions in the society. Installation of contraceptive implants under the skin gives the meaning such implant. Madurese society which has the religious characteristics, has a special meaning to the implant contraception. The purpose of this study is to realize at the social reality subjectively through the interaction and action regarding the use of contraceptive implants. The theory that used for this problem is the theory of social construction of Peter L. Berger. The results of this research are the choice of contraception is based on convenience and practical value, experience incompatibility on other contraception as well as economic conditions. Implants can be accepted by the Madurese because it has no other implant functions like magic and religion also does not forbid it.
