Pengembangan APE STIKMA (Stik Matematika) Dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Mengenal Lambang Bilangan 1-10 Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of variations in learning media to improve cognitive abilities, especially introducing the symbols of numbers. Cognitive learning can be stimulated actively considering that early childhood is an age that really likes to play. The problem of this research is how to play educational skills in developing early childhood cognitive abilities, especially in children aged 5-6 years. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 stages, namely the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation stages. The subjects in this development research are material experts and media experts who have experience and are competent in their fields. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire / questionnaire and observation. The results of observations of children during the trial at the one-to-one evaluation stage, small group evaluation and field tests were used to see children's behavior during the learning process using APE STIKMA. The results of the validation of material experts were 80%, then media experts gave 97% results which can be interpreted that the media and material contained in the STIKMA media (StikMath) are appropriate for use to improve the cognitive abilities of children aged 5-6 years in Kindergarten Fatimah Az-Zahro Village Siwalanpanji, Buduran District, Sidoarjo Regency. The results of trials that have been carried out at Fatimah Az-Zahro Kindergarten, Siwalanpanji Village, Buduran District, Sidoarjo Regency show that children's cognitive abilities in recognizing numbers 1-10 have increased by 10.50% with a positive rating of 210.00 so that it can be concluded that this game is appropriate and efficient for improve cognitive abilities regarding the symbols of numbers 1-10.
