PENGEMBANGAN LEMBAR KEGIATAN SISWA (LKS) IPA TERPADU BERBASIS GUIDED DISCOVERY PADA TEMA MITIGASI BENCANA UNTUK SISWA KELAS VII SMP

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan, hasil belajar, dan respon siswa terhadap LKS IPA Terpadu berbasis Guided Discovery pada tema mitigasi bencana untuk siswa kelas VII SMP yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan sasaran penelitian berupa LKS berbasis Guided Discovery pada tema mitigasi bencana. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah tim ahli yang meliputi dosen dan guru IPA sebagai penelaah dan validator, serta 37 siswa kelas VIIA SMP Islam Gandusari Trenggalek sebagai subjek penelitian. Rancangan peneliti an ini mengacu pada model pengembangan oleh Dick dan Carey. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan meliputi lembar telaah, lembar validasi, lembar evaluasi, serta lembar angket respon siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan lembar validasi, lembar evaluasi, dan lembar angket respon. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKS berbasis Guided Discovery yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran untuk SMP karena telah memenuhi kelayakan berdasarkan syarat-syarat kesesuaian dengan Guided Discovery, syarat didaktik, syarat konstruksi, dan syarat teknis. Rata-rata kelayakan secara keseluruhan untuk LKS eksperimen sebesar 94.25% dan untuk LKS non-eksperimen sebesar 95.93%. Hasil belajar kognitif produk siswa tuntas secara klasikal 83,78%, dan yang tidak tuntas 16,22%. Hasil belajar kognitif proses atau kinerja ilmiah siswa tuntas secara klasikal sebesar 94,46%. Respon positif dari siswa terhadap LKS yang ditunjukkan dengan persentase rata-rata 94,59%. Dari uraian tersebut, LKS yang dikembangkan ini dikategorikan sangat layak dengan adanya hasil validasi yang besar, ketuntasan hasil belajar produk dan proses siswa yang tinggi, serta tingginya respon positif siswa terhadap adanya LKS yang telah dikembangkan.

Abstract

This study is aimed to determine the feasibility, learning outcomes, and the students' response to Developed Student Activity Sheet-based Integrated Science Guided Discovery on the theme of disaster mitigation for VII class of Junior High School. There are 37 Students of VIIA Junior High School Islam Gandusari, Trenggalek, East Java, as the sources of data in this research. Also, there are a team of experts that includes faculty and science teachers as reviewers and validators. The research design itself, refers to a development model by Dick and Carey. The data was collected using a questionnaire sheet validation, evaluation sheets, and sheets of questionnaire responses. Descriptive data were analyzed in quantitative method. The results showed that the Developed Student Activity Sheet-based Integrated Guided Discovery is very suitable to be used in the learning process for Junior High School because it has met eligibility requirements based on compliance with the Guided Discovery, didactic requirements, construction requirements, and technical requirements. Average overall feasibility of experiments to the Student Activity Sheet is 94.25% and for non-experimental one is 95.93%. Cognitive learning outcomes of students completed the classical product of 83.78%, and 16.22% of them are incomplete. Le[1]arning outcomes or performance of cognitive processes in classical science students completed at 94.46%. Positive response from the students' worksheets as indicated by the average percentage of 94.59%, and 5.01% for the negative response. So, by reviewing the results of a thorough study in both classical and positive response of the students, it can support the feasibility of the developed Student Activity Sheet.
