Author Guideline

 

Thank you for considering RAPIDS: Riset Aplikasi Ilmu Data dan Sistem as the venue for publishing your research. Authors are encouraged to read the following guidelines carefully before submitting their manuscripts.

1. Scope and General Requirements

RAPIDS publishes original research articles in the fields of Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Internet of Things, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Decision Support Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, and other related areas.

Submitted manuscripts must:

  • Be original and unpublished.

  • Not be under consideration by another journal or conference.

  • Be written in English using clear and concise academic language.

  • Contribute novel theoretical, methodological, or applied research.

2. Manuscript Preparation

Authors should prepare manuscripts using the official RAPIDS template.

The manuscript should contain the following sections:

  • Title

  • Abstract (150–250 words)

  • Keywords (3–5 keywords)

  • Introduction

  • Related Work / Literature Review

  • Methodology

  • Results and Discussion

  • Conclusion and Future Work

  • Acknowledgment (optional)

  • References

RAPIDS adopts a flexible scientific writing style; however, the manuscript must present a logical and coherent flow.

3. Formatting Requirements

Authors should ensure that manuscripts comply with the following formatting requirements:

  • Paper size: A4

  • Font: Times New Roman (11–12 pt)

  • Single or 1.15 line spacing

  • One-column layout

  • Figures and tables must be numbered consecutively, include descriptive captions, and be cited in the text.

  • Images should be of high resolution to ensure publication quality.

4. Citation and References

RAPIDS uses the IEEE referencing style.

  • Citations must appear in numerical order (e.g., [1], [2], [3]–[5]).

  • References should be listed in the order they appear in the manuscript.

  • Authors are encouraged to use recent and relevant literature from reputable journals and conference proceedings.

5. Submission Process

All manuscripts must be submitted through the Online Journal System (OJS).

During submission, authors are required to upload:

  • Manuscript prepared according to the journal template.

  • Author information.

  • Supplementary files, if applicable.

To support the double-blind peer review process, manuscripts submitted for review should not contain any author-identifying information.

6. Peer Review Process

Every submission undergoes:

  1. Editorial screening.

  2. Similarity checking.

  3. Double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers.

  4. Editorial decision (Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject).

Evaluation is based on originality, scientific contribution, methodological rigor, technical quality, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the journal scope.

7. Publication Ethics

Authors are expected to comply with the publication ethics of RAPIDS by ensuring:

  • Originality of the submitted work.

  • Proper citation of all sources.

  • Absence of plagiarism and duplicate submission.

  • Accurate reporting of research findings.

  • Disclosure of any competing interests.

  • Compliance with ethical standards for research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data where applicable.

8. Manuscript Template

Authors must prepare manuscripts using the official RAPIDS Manuscript Template, available on the journal website. Manuscripts that do not conform to the template and formatting requirements may be returned to the authors prior to peer review.
