Abstract

Abstract

In recent years, issues of global warning is a concern in the world. This has an impact on the demand for green building mainly in green construction materials. One alternative to overcome the negative impact of the production of Portland cement (PC) is using geopolymer concrete. Some researchers say that the geopolymer concrete could potentially result in better mechanical properties by addition to the content of CaO in the fly ash and by increasing the concentration of NaOH solution.  A marble waste production has a high CaO content of 98.63%. This study was aimed to determine the effect of substituting fly ash with marble waste in NaOH 15M of compressive strength and porosity geopolymer concrete. Tests carried out on cylinders dim. 10cm and 20cm high with a substitution percentage variation that is used by 10%, 30% and 50%. Alkaline activator solution using 15M molarity ratio SS / SH (Sodium Silicate: Sodium Hydroxide) 1: 1.5. Test carried of Specimen at the age of 7 and 28 days with each of the three test specimens. Methods of making and testing standards of the SNI and mix desaign refers Nart and Sharker. The results showed that the compressive strength and porosity m occurs at 10% substitution. The results of compressive strength of geopolymer concrete at 28 days with the substitution of 0%, 10%, 30% and 50% respectively is 23.01 MPa, 31.83 MPa, 27.86 MPa, 19.72 MPa, and the porosity of the geopolymer concrete at 3.2%, 2.4%, 5.1%, and 6.7% .
