Abstract

The construction project of Siti Khodijah Sidoarjo Hospital utilized two soil testing methods SPT and CPT. This project plans to use two types of foundations bored piles and driven piles, therefore a comparative analysis of the two types of foundations based on the two soil data is necessary to determine the percentage comparison of the bearing capacity of both foundations. The following research applies a quantitative method where 2 values of foundation bearing capacity will be compared. The analysis of foundation bearing capacity is calculated using several methods, including Luciano Decourt, Meyerhoff, and Reese & Wright methods. The percentage comparison of driven pile foundation bearing capacity shows a figure of 21.80% at point DB-3. The highest value of bearing capacity is obtained from calculations using SPT data, as the CPT test can only be conducted up to a depth of 10.2 m, resulting in a smaller value. The calculation of bored pile foundation bearing capacity is performed on several diameters. The highest percentage value occurs in the 40 cm diameter foundation at point DB-3, which is 30.65%. Unlike driven piles, the bearing capacity value of bored piles based on CPT data is greater. It can be concluded that the magnitude of bearing capacity is influenced by several factors, such as foundation diameter, planned foundation depth, method used, and soil type.
