Pengaruh Jenis Yeast Hydrolysate Enzymatic (YHE) terhadap Kadar Glukosa Darah dan Berat Badan Mencit (Mus musculus) yang Terindikasi Diabetes Mellitus Tipe II

Abstract

Abstrak. Diabetes mellitus tipe II merupakan penyakit yang mengganggu fungsi kerja insulin, umumnya terjadi pada penderita obesitas, obesitas terjadi akibat komposisi makanan dan diet tinggi lemak. Peran kunci dari kromium dalam tubuh berhubungan erat dengan kontrol glukosa darah, kromium dapat ditemukan dalam YHE. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis YHE terhadap kadar glukosa darah dan berat badan pada mencit, penelitian ini juga dibandingkan dengan kontrol normal, kontrol negatif, dan kontrol positif. Jenis YHE yang digunakan adalah YHE beras putih, YHE beras merah, dan YHE beras hitam. YHE dengan berbagai jenis sebanyak 1 mL diberikan kepada mencit dengan cara disonde selama 1 minggu, pengukuran berat badan menggunakan timbangan digital dan pengukuran kadar glukosa darah menggunakan glukometer (Freestyel Optium). Hasil rata-rata penurunan kadar glukosa darah pada YHE beras putih 87 mg/dL, YHE beras merah 138 mg/dL, dan YHE beras hitam 103 mg/dL, sedangkan hasil rata-rata pengukuran berat badan pada YHE beras putih sebesar 5 gram, YHE beras merah 6 gram, dan YHE beras hitam 7 gram. YHE dari berbagai jenis memiliki pengaruh terhadap penurunan kadar glukosa darah dan kenaikan berat badan mencit yang terindikasi diabetes mellitus tipe II. Dan yang memiliki potensi penurunan terbaik adalah YHE beras merah, sehingga baik digunakan sebagai anti diabetes mellitus tipe II.

Abstract. Diabetes mellitus type II is a disease that interferes the function of insulin, commonly it occurs in obesity people, obesity occurs due to food composition and high-fat diets. The important role of chromium in the body closely relates to blood glucose control, chromium can be found in the YHE. This research aims to determine the influence of YHE type on blood glucose levels and weight in mice, the research is also compared to normal control, negative control, and positive control. YHE type used is YHE white rice, YHE red rice, and YHE black rice. YHE with a range of 1 ml was given to rats via gastric catheter for 1 weeks, the weight measurement uses digital scales and the blood glucose level measurement uses glucometer (Freestyel Optium). The average yield reduction in blood glucose levels in the YHE white rice is 87 mg/dL, YHE red rice 138 mg/dL, and YHE black rice 103m/dL, whereas the average result of weight measurement in a row is the YHE white rice 5 grams, YHE red rice 6 grams, and YHE black rice 7 grams. YHE of various types have an influence on decreasing blood glucose levels and increasing weight mice indicated type II diabetes mellitus. And that has the best reduction potential is YHE red rice, so it is used as anti-diabetes mellitus type II.
