Mural dalam dunia pendidikan berperan sebagai media edukasi dengan cara visualisasi. Menilik keadaan sekolah di UPT SMP Negeri 5 Gresik yang kurang dengan keindahan di setiap dinding sekolah dan sekiranya penyokong salah satu program peduli lingkungan sehat, bersih dan indah yaitu Sekolah Adiwiyata (Green School). Rumusan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana konsep, proses penerapan mural, dan hasil penerapan mural, serta bagaimana evaluasi dan refleksi terhadap penerapan mural Green School. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan konsep, proses penerapan mural, dan hasil penerapan mural, serta evaluasi dan refleksi terhadap mural Green School. Pendekatan penelitian dengan metode Deskriptif-Kualitatif. Hasil penelitian mural meliputi: (1) Proses penerapan mural dinding di UPT SMP Negeri 5 Gresik sebagai media edukasi terdiri dari (sosialisasi mural, lokasi mural, pembuatan desain, alat dan bahan, pembuatan sketsa dinding, proses pengecatan, finishing clear coating, pembersihan lokasi mural). (2) Mural yang dikerjakan oleh siswa menghasilkan mural kelompok 1 dan kelompok 2. (3) Wawancara dalam penelitian dilakukan kepada siswa yang berpartisipasi maupun yang tidak berpartisipasi, serta kepala sekolah dan guru. Penerapan mural Green School melibatkan seluruh warga sekolah, ditinjau dari respon dan apresiasi yang telah diterima dari awal proses hingga finishing.

Abstract
In educational fields, Mural acts as an educational media with visualization. Observing the circumstance of UPT SMP Negeri 5 Gresik, which has no evidence of aesthetic appeal on every school wall, encourages one of the environmental care schemes for a healthy, beautiful, and clean environment, namely the Adiwiyata School (Green School). The formulation in this study is how the concept, process of mural application, and the results of the mural application, as well as how to evaluate and reflect on the application Green School mural itself. This study aims to know and describe the concept, the mural application process, and the results of the mural application, as well as evaluation and reflection on the Green School mural. The approach of this study used the Descriptive-Qualitative method. The results of the mural research included: (1) The process of applying murals at UPT SMP Negeri 5 Gresik as an educational medium consisted of mural socialization, mural locations, making designs, tools and materials, making wall sketches, painting processes, finishing clear coating, cleaning mural locations. (2) The murals worked on by the students resulted in group 1 and group 2 murals. (3) The interviews in the study were conducted with participating and non-participating students, as well as school principals and teachers. Application of Green School murals This involves the entire school community regarding the response and appreciation received from the start of the process to the finishing.
