Hubungan Antara Dukungan Sosial dengan Stres pada Siswa Akselerasi

Abstrak
Siswa yang berbakat secara akademik rentan mengalami stres karena permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh siswa tersebut dalam mengikuti program akselerasi. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat stres adalah dukungan sosial. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan stres pada siswa akselerasi di SMP Negeri 1 Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 21 siswa kelas IX yang mengikuti program akselerasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis uji regresi logistik biner. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan stres pada siswa akselerasi dengan nilai signifikasi sebesar 0,028. Artinya hipotesis yang menyatakan adanya hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan stres dapat diterima. Nilai Nagelkerke R Square sebesar 0,503 yang artinya bahwa variabel dukungan sosial memiliki kontribusi terhadap variabel stres sebesar 50,3% dan sisanya 49,7% disebabkan oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract
Academically talented students are susceptible to stress because of the problems which were faced by that students of acceleration program. One of the factors that affect the level of stress is social support. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between social support and stress of acceleration students in SMPN 1 Sidoarjo. This research used a correlation quantitative method with the study sample were 21 students of 9th grade in acceleration program. The data was analized by a binary logistic regression analysis. The results of this research indicate that there is a relationship between social support and stress in students of acceleration with significance value of 0.028. This means that the hypothesis which explained the relationship between social support and stress can be accepted. The value of Nagelkerke R Square was 0.503, which means that the social support variables had contribute to stress variable of 50.3% and the remaining 49.7% were caused by other variables which were not examined in this study.
