Abstract
Resilience is not something that adhered in someone, but it is a result of learning process. Resilience is an individual capacity to survive in a stress situation, therefore if an individual is called as a resilient, thus the individual can find the ways to survive although he or she is trapped in a very difficult condition. This study was aimed to describe whether there is a diffrerence of resilience between male and female sufferers of diabetes type II. This study was a correlation study in which there is an independent variable, that is gender and a dependent variable, that is resilience. This study used quantitative design, and the sample selected using purposive sampling and snowball technique. There were 22 people in both male and female sufferers of diabetes type II and based on the criteria of study subject. The data of this study was analyzed by using U-test analysis technique.. Based on U-test analysis, it is obtained a significant value that is 0,046 (p<0,05), thus the hypotheses of this study was accepted. This result showed that there is difference of resilience between the male and the female sufferers of diabetes type II.
