PERBEDAAN PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL BEING DAN DUKUNGAN SOSIAL PADA HOMOSEKSUAL DITINJAU DARI KEANGGOTAAN

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan psychological well being dan dukungan sosial pada homoseksual ditinjau dari keanggotaan. Variabel yang dikaji pada pada penelitian ini adalah keanggotaan sebagai variabel bebas dan psychological well being dan dukungan sosial sebagai variabel terikat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah homoseksual yang bergabung di komunitas dengan jumlah 10 orang laki-laki dan homoseksual non komunitas dengan jumlah 10 orang laki-laki homoseksual. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan ialah skala psychological well being dan skala dukungan sosial yang disusun menggunakan skala likert. Metode analisis data menggunakan Mann Whitney. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan adanya perbedaan psychological well being dan dukungan sosial pada homoseksual ditinjau dari keanggotaan. Hal ini dilihat dari taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,000 pada variabel psychological well being dan taraf signifikansi 0,000 pada variavel dukungan sosial. Hasil signifikansi uji hipotesis tersebut memiliki nilai signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0,05 sehingga menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine differences in psychological well being and social support in homosexuals in terms of membership. The variables that were examined in this study were membership as an independent variable and psychological well being and social support as dependent variables. This study used quantitative research methods. Subjects in this study were 10 homosexual men who were members of a particular community and 10 homosexual men who were not affiliated to any community. The research instrument used were the psychological well being scale and social support scale that were constructed using a Likert scale. The data were analyzed using Mann Whitney. From the data analysis it was found that the significance level of 0.000 for psychological well being and the significance level of 0.000 for social support. Those values were less than 0.05, which means that is a significant difference. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between psychological well being and social support among homosexual in terms of membership.
