HUBUNGAN KONSEP DIRI DAN KEBUTUHAN BERAFILIASI DENGAN PENYESUAIAN SOSIAL SISWA SMPN 8 MADIUN

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan konsep diri dan kebutuhan berafiliasi dengan penyesuaian sosial siswa SMPN 8 Madiun. Penelitian ini berjenis korelasi. Subyek penelitian berjumlah 128 siswa kelas VIIIA – VIIF. Hipotesis diuji menggunakan regresi berganda (hipotesis mayor) dan product moment (hipotesis minor).
Hasil regresi berganda menunjukkan bahwa R = 0,586; p = 0,000 yang berarti bahwa ada hubungan antara konsep diri dan kebutuhan berafiliasi dengan penyesuaian sosial siswa. Hasil product moment menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis minor I dengan r1y = 0,580; p = 0,000 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan antara konsep diri dengan penyesuaian sosial. Hipotesis minor II dengan r2y = 0,289; p = 0,001 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan antara kebutuhan berafiliasi dengan penyesuaian sosial siswa.
Kontribusi konsep diri dan kebutuhan berafiliasi terhadap penyesuaian sosial siswa sebesar 34,4%. Konsep diri diketahui memiliki kontribusi sebesar 33,6%. Kebutuhan berafiliasi diketahui tidak memiliki kontribusi terhadap penyesuaian sosial. Dengan demikian, bila akan meningkatkan penyesuaian sosial siswa hal yang perlu dilakukan juga adalah mengembangkan konsep diri positif siswa.

Abstract
This research aims to examine relationship between self-concept and need of affiliation with student social adjustment ofjunior high school 8 Madiun. This is correlational research. Total subjects are 128 student of class VIIIA – VIIIF. Hypothesis were tested using multiple regression (major hypothesis) and product moment (minor hypothesis).
Regression result indicate that R = 0,586;0 = 0,000 which mean there is relationship between self-concept and need of affiliation and student social adjustment. Product moment indicate that minor hypothesis I with r1y = 0,580; p = 0,000which means there is relationship between self-concept and student social adjustment. Minor hypothesis II with r2y – 0,289; p = 0,01 which means there is relationship between need of affiliation and student social adjustment.
Self-concept and need of affiliation have 34,4% contribution in explaining social adjustment. Self-concept have 33,6% contribution in explaining social adjustment. Need of affiliation doesn’r have any contribution in explaining social adjustment. Thus, when enhance the student social adjustment the most important thing to do is develop student positive self-concept.
