PENGARUH INTERNAL LOCUS OF CONTROL DAN KECERDASAN EMOSI TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH PADA MAHASISWA FAKULTAS ILMU PENDIDIKAN UNIVERSITAS NEGERI SURABAYA

Abstract:The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of: 1) internal locus of control and emotional intelligence toward problem solving; 2) internal locus of control toward problem solving; 3) emotional intelligence toward problem solving. A quantitative approach was used as a method of this study. The samples were used in the study are 275 college students in Faculty of Education 2010 State University Surabaya are taken by proportioned random sampling technique.Analysis of the data used is multiple regression analysis technique. The results of this analysis indicate internal locus of control and emotional intelligence toward problem solving together have an effect toward problem solving that is indicated by the significant value of 0.000 (p<0.05), while the effect of 7.3%, while the remaining 93.7% is affected by other factors, an internal locus of control has no effect toward problem solving that is indicated by a significance value of 0.181(p>0.05), whereas emotional intelligence has an effect toward problem solving that is indicated by significance value of 0.000 (p<0.05), while the effect of 7.2%.

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh dari: 1) internal locus of control dan kecerdasan emosi terhadap pemecahan masalah; 2) internal locus of control terhadap pemecahan masalah; 3) kecerdasan emosi terhadap pemecahan masalah. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan sebagai metode penelitian ini. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah 275 mahasiswa di Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Surabaya angkatan 2010 diambil dengan menggunakan teknik proportionated random sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis regresi berganda.Hasil analisis ini menunjukkan internal locus of control dan kecerdasan emosi terhadap pemecahan masalah secara bersama-sama memiliki pengaruh terhadap pemecahan masalah yang ditunjukan dengan nilai signifikan 0,000 (p<0,05), sedangkan besar pengaruhnya sebesar 7,3%, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 93,7% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain, internal locus of control tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap pemecahan masalah yang ditunjukan dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,181 (p>0,05), sedangkan kecerdasan emosimemiliki pengaruh terhadap pemecahan masalah yang ditunjukan dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05), sedangkan pengaruhnya sebesar 7,2%.
