HUBUNGAN ANTARA KEMATANGAN EMOSI DENGAN KESIAPAN MENIKAH PADA DEWASA AWAL

Pernikahan merupakan fase yang dialami oleh individu. Di dalamnya terdapat peran-peran baru yang harus di- jalani. Menjadi pasangan suami istri dan juga orangtua. Untuk dapat menjalani peran-peran baru tersebut dengan baik dibutuhkan kesiapan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk melihat keterkaitan antara kematangan emosi dengan kesiapan menikah pada dewasa awal. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah individu dewasa awal yang tersebar di Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang dan Bekasi dengan jumlah sampel 30 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Teknik penentuan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini purposive sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan berupa Product Moment Pearson. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kematangan emosi dengan kesiapan menikah pada dewasa awal dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.000 (p< 0.05). Diketahui pula nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.846 yang berarti kedua variabel memiliki hubungan sangat kuat dan bentuk hub- ungan positif.

Abstract

Marriage is a phase experienced by individuals. In it there are new roles that must be undertaken. Becoming husband and wife and also parents. To be able to carry out these new roles properly requires readiness. This study was conducted with the aim of seeing the relationship between emotional maturity and readiness for mar- riage in early adulthood. The population in this study were early adult individuals spread across Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi with a total sample of 30 people. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. The analytical tech- nique used is Pearson's Product Moment. The results obtained indicate that there is a significant relationship between emotional maturity and readiness for marriage in early adulthood with a significance value of 0.000 (p< 0.05). It is also known that the correlation coefficient value is 0.846, which means that the two variables have a very strong relationship and form a positive relationship.
