PENINGKATAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP SISWAMELALUI MODEL SEARCH, SOLVE,CREATE, AND SHARE (SSCS) PADA MATERI IKATAN KIMIA (ENHANCEMENT STUDENTS’ CONCEPTUAL UNDERSTANDING THROUGH SEARCH, SOLVE, CREATE, AND SHARE (SSCS) MODEL IN CHEMICAL BONDING MATTER)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman konsep siswa melalui penerapan model Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) pada materi ikatan kimia. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIA 1 yang berjumlah 30 siswa di SMA Negeri 3 Tuban. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre-experimental yang menggunakan One Group Pre-test Post-test Design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar tespemahaman konsep yang terdiri dari pre-test dan post-test, lembar tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, dan lembar angket respon siswa.Analisis peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa ditentukan dari interpretasi nilai indeks gain <g>. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa setelah penerapan model Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) pada materi ikatan kimia yaitu 53,34% siswa memperoleh peningkatan dengan interpretasi tinggi, 43,33% siswa memperoleh peningkatan dengan interpretasi sedang, dan 3,33% siswa memperoleh peningkatan dengan interpretasi rendah.

The aim of this research is to know the students’ conceptual understanding through the implementation of Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) model in chemical bonding matter. The subjects of this research are the students of X  MIA 1 that consist of 30 students in SMA Negeri 3 Tuban. The kind of this research is pre-experimental that use One Group Pre-test Post-test Design. The instruments that used are conceptual understanding test sheet consist of pre-test and post-test, quiz sheet, learning’s enforceability observation sheet,  students’ activity observation sheet, and students’ questionnaire sheet. The analysis of students’ conceptual understanding enhancement is determined by interpretation of gain index value <g>. The result of this research show that the enhancement of students’ conceptual understanding after implementation of Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) model in chemical bonding matter are 53,34% of students get high interpretation enhamcement, 43,33% of students get middle interpretation enhancement, and 3,33% of students get low interpretation enhancement .
