IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STAD PADA MATERI LARUTAN PENYANGGA (THE IMPLEMENTATION OF CHARACTER EDUCATION THROUGH STAD COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL AT BUFFER TOPIC)

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi pendidikan karakter melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada materi larutan penyangga dilihat dari aspek keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, hasil  belajar siswa, pemahaman siswa terhadap nilai karakter antara lain disiplin, jujur, toleransi dan tanggung jawab, serta respon siswa. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI-IPA3 di SMA Negeri 1 Menganti Gresik tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra eksperimen dengan desain One Shoot Case Study yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pendidikan karakter melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada materi larutan penyangga dapat terlaksana dengan kriteria sangat baik dan mengalami peningkatan dari pertemuan pertama sampai ketiga dengan persentase 93,45%; 95,24%; dan 97,02%. Berdasarkan tes hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran ini menunjukkan ketuntasan belajar klasikal 81,82%. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian diri dapat diketahui pemahaman siswa terhadap beberapa karakter sangat baik dengan persentase rata-rata untuk karakter disiplin 96,88%; jujur 100%; toleransi 92,88%; tanggung jawab individu 84,58%; dan tanggung jawab sosial 88,13%. Melalui hasil angket, dapat diketahui bahwa respon siswa sangat baik terhadap implementasi pendidikan karakter dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada materi larutan penyangga.

It had been done the research which the aims were to know the implementation of character education through STAD cooperative learning model at buffer topic based on the learning performed, student learning outcomes, students' understanding of character values ​​of discipline, honesty, tolerance and responsibility, and also students response. The subject of this research were students in XI-IPA3 class of SMAN 1 Menganti Gresik year 2012/2013. This research was a pre-experimental research with One Shoot Case Study design was held in three sessions. The results showed implementation of character education through STAD cooperative learning model in Chemistry learning on buffer topic was performed very well (in very good category) and increase from the first to third sessions with percentage 93,45%; 95,42%; and 97,02%. Based on the test results, students’ learning outcomes in this learning showed the classical mastery learning achieved in percentage 81,82%. Based on the student self assessment known that the understanding of the character values were in very good category with percentage of dicipline 96,88%; honesty 100%; tolerance 92,88%; individual responsibility 84,58%; and social responsibility 88,13%. While from the questionnaire result known that the students response were very good with implementation of character education through STAD cooperative learning model at buffer topic.
