Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk dapat motivasi siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler bola voli di SMA Negeri 8 Surabaya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan metode penelitian survei. Populasi pada siswa-siswi yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler bola voli yang berjumlah 33 siswa, adapun sampel yang diambil sebanyak populasi. Jenis sampel yang digunakan peneliti menggunakan total sampling yang berarti keseluruhan jumlah siswa yang menjadi populasi digunakan sebagai sampel. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket. Analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan hasil persentase.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat dijelaskan dari beberapa faktor beserta  nilai jawaban antara lain: sikap dan pengalaman sebesar 92% (152 ya), fisiologi 71% (117 ya), rasa sebesar 87% (143 ya), aktualisasi diri sebesar 75% (123 ya), perhatian 59% (97 ya), kepercayaan diri sebesar 54% (89 ya), perasaan sebesar 52% (85 ya), serta penghargaan sebesar 35% (58 ya), adapun beberapa faktor yang juga berpengaruh terhadap ekstrakurikuler bola voli antara lain fisiologi, aktualisasi diri, rasa, perhatian, kepercayaan diri, perasaan serta faktor yang paling rendah adalah penghargaan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah semua indikator memunculkan nilai dengan hasil persentase untuk jawaban yang dominan sebesar 92%, yang berarti bahwa faktor sikap dan pengalaman dapat mendorong motivasi peserta didik dalam mengikuti ekstrakurikuler bola voli untuk berprestasi.

Abstract

This study aims to motivate students who take volleyball extracurricular activities at SMAN 8 Surabaya. This type of research uses descriptive survey research methods. the use of these survey methods can minimize time and be adjusted to current conditions. The population of the students who took part in the volleyball extracurricular was 33 students, while the sample was taken as much as the population. sampling which means the total number of students who make up the population is used as a sample. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Data analysis using quantitative descriptive with percentage results. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be explained from several factors along with the answer values, including: attitude and experience of 92% (152 yes), physiology 71% (117 yes), taste 87% (143 yes), self-actualization of 75% ( 123 yes), attention 59% (97 yes), self-confidence by 54% (89 yes), feelings by 52% (85 yes), and appreciation by 35% (58 yes). Thus it can be concluded that the most prominent supporting factors for student motivation in volleyball extracurricular at SMAN 8 Surabaya which have been sorted by the highest value from the yes answer are attitude and experience (92%), physiology (87%), taste (75%), self-actualization (71%), attention (59%), self-confidence (54%), feelings (52%), and appreciation (35%). So that from all the indicators, a score with the percentage result for the dominant answer is 92%, which means that the attitude and experience factors can encourage students' motivation in participating in volleyball extracurricular activities to excel.There are several factors that also affect volleyball extracurricular activities, including physiology, self-actualization, taste, attention, self-confidence, feelings and the lowest factor is appreciation.
