Abstract

Sports and Health Physical Education (PJOK) is one of the important subjects in all educational institutions. There are many aspects that students can learn such as how to live in cooperation, being sportive, and various physical activities. Since 2018 the government has issued PERDIRJEN Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah Number 07/D.D5/KK/2018 which explains that PJOK subjects in class XII of vocational high schools are eliminated. It is feared that this may affect students' physical activity and fitness. This study aims to determine the differences in the level of physical activity and physical fitness of students reviewed based on the grade level in vocational schools. The population of this study is all students of SMK Dharma Bahari Surabaya. The research sample of 89 students was taken using sampling techniques, the method used was a combined method of accidental and quota sampling. Physical activity was measured using a physical activity questionnaire questionnaire instrument, while fitness was measured using the MFT. Data analysis is carried out through 4 stages, namely: (1) statistical descriptive tests; (2) normality test; (3) homogeneity test; and (4) Anova and post-hoc tests. The results showed that the average VO2Max of class X students was 33.4 elementary schools of 7.50, the average VO2Max of class XI was 32.6 elementary schools was 6.82, the average VO2Max of class XII was 31.2 elementary schools was 5.28. On the average chart of VO2Max and physical activity it can be seen that the higher the class the lower the fitness and physical activity of the student. Thus, the decrease in physical activity and physical fitness may occur due to the elimination of PJOK subjects in class XII SMK.
