HUBUNGAN KOMPETENSI TUTOR DENGAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK KEJAR PAKET C DI PKBM AL HIKMAH SUKODONO SIDOARJO

Abstract

PendidikanKesetaraanadalah program pendidikannonformal yang menyelenggarakanpendidikanumumsetara SDMI, SMPMTs dan SMAMA yang mencakup program paket A, paket B danpaket C. Penyelenggaraanpembelajaranataukegiatanpendidikanluarsekolahdipengaruhiolehbeberapakomponendiantaranyaadalah tutor dan tutor menjadikomponen yang lebihdiutamakan.Berdasarkanperspektifkebijakannasional, pemerintahtelahmerumuskanempatjeniskompetensi tutor, sebagaimanatercantumdalampenjelasanperaturanpemerintah No. 19 tahun 2005 tentangstandartnasionalpendidikan, yaitu kompetensipedagogik, kepribadian, socialdanprofesional. Sedangkanmotivasibelajaradalahdorongan yang adadalamdiriindividusebagaiakibatdaridorongan internal maupuneksternaluntukmemenuhikebutuhanindividutersebut.Tutor diharapkanmampudanberkompetendalammembimbing, mengajardanterutamamemotivasipesertadidiknyadalambelajarsehinggatujuanpendidikannonformalitusendiridapattercapaidenganbaikkarenamotivasibelajarmempengaruhipesertadidikdalammeningkatkanmutupendidikannonformal.

Tujuanpenelitianiniadalahuntukmengetahuikompetensi tutor, motivasibelajardanuntukmengetahuihubungankompetensi tutor denganmotivasibelajarpesertadidikkejarpaket C di PKBM AlHikmahSukodonoSidoarjo.Penelitianinimenggunakanpendekatankuantitatifkorelasional.Responden yang terlibatberjumlah 58 orang, dimanasampel yangdigunakandalampenelitianinimenggunakanstudipopulasiyaituparapesertadidikkejarpaket C. Teknikpengumpulan data yang digunakanadalahangketdandokumentasi.Sedangkanteknikanalisis data menggunakanrumusrank spearmanuntukmenganalisishasilangkettersebut.

Hasilpenelitianmenunjukkanbahwaterdapathubunganantarakompetensi tutor denganmotivasibelajarpesertadidikdiperoleh N 58 untukrhitung 0,94 yang termasukdalamkategorisangatkuatkarenaberadapada interval koefisien 0,80 sampai 1, artinyaterdapatkorelasi yang positifantarakompetensi tutor denganmotivasibelajar. Hasilujisignifikanjugamenunjukkan bahwa harga t hitung20,304 lebihbesardari t tabel 2,032, sehingga Ho ditolakdan Ha diterimadandapatdisimpulkanbahwaterdapathubungan yang positifdansignifikanantarakompetensi tutor denganmotivasibelajar.Dari penelitianinimembuktikanbahwajikasemakintinggikompetensi yang dimiliki tutor, makasemakintinggi pula motivasibelajar yang dimilikiolehpesertadidik.

Equality of education is a non formal education program which organizes general education for Elemantary School, Junior High School and Senior High School which covers A, B and C packages. Orgianized learning or non formal education is affected by some components. One of its important components is believed as the tutor. According to nationals perspective of policy, the government has formed the four competences of tutor, which is written in government regulations No. 19, 2005 to adjust the standardization of tutors competence, they are pedagogical competence, personality, social and professional. Where as students learning motivations comes from individual’s which is encouraged internally and extarnally. In the case, each tutor is excepted to be competent in delivering the materials to reach the purposes of non formal education it self and increases its quality which is as a result of the increase of students motivation in learning.

The purpose of this study is to find out the quality of tutors competence, learning motivation and their relation for the students in PKBM AlHikmah Sukodono, Sidoarjo who take package C. This study uses correlational quantitative approach as its method. The respondents are count at 58, which samples are taken from population study which is the package C learners them selves. The data is collected from question questionnaire and documentations and then analyzed using rank spearmans formula to analyze the result of the questionnaires.

The results showed that there is a relationship between tutor competence and motivation of learners obtained N 58 for the count r 0.94 were included in the category of very strong because it is in the interval coefficient of 0.80 to 1, its meaning that there is a positive correlation between competence tutor motivation to learn. Significant test results also show that the price20.304 of t is higher than t table2.032, so that Ho refused and Ha is received and it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between tutor competence and motivation to learn. From this research proves that if the higher the competences of the tutor, the higher the motivation to learn owned by learners.
