Abstract

Abstract

The use of educational technology is one of the important things in creating effective learning. Conventional media in the form of blackboards are still used to help students understand the material provided. Along with advances in technology in the field of education, educators are expected to be able to utilize technology as a medium in the learning process. Powerpoint is one of the uses of technology as a learning medium that is available and well known by both teachers and students. The purpose of this study was to investigate and evaluate the effects of using PowerPoint materials with students.. The research method uses a quantitative approach with Quasi Experimental Design Type Pretest Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group. The results showed that there was a significant difference in posttest results in the control class and experimental class, which increased by 16.35%. In the hypothesis test, the results obtained (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05 indicate the rejection of Hypothesis 0 and the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis, namely that PowerPoint media influences the automotive learning outcomes of students at SMKN 1 Kediri. Teachers in vocational schools may want to consider using this media in the learning process.
